Recurrence is a relatively common outcome following endoscopic decompression in sigmoid volvulus (SV). This study aims to evaluate the factors affecting recurrence in SV. ⋯ Elderliness, early-onset, maleness, high-fiber diet habit, high altitude, and most likely chronic constipation may be the practical clinical parameters of recurrent SV. These parameters, as well as the presence of previous SV episode history, must be considered in the decision-making process in the elective treatment of SV.

To compare the functional and radiological outcome of combine compression interlocking intramedullary nail (InterTan) and proximal femoral nail anti-rotation II (PFNA-II) in the treatment of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures. ⋯ We found no significant difference in the functional outcome in elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures treated with InterTan and PFNA-II. Early fracture healing and reduced complication rate however has been noted with InterTan.

To describe the simplicity, efficacy and safety of A. Chohan Continuous Squeezing Suture (ACCSS) for controlling haemorrhage from the lower uterine segment at caesarean section for placenta praevia and accreta spectrum disorders. ⋯ ACCSS appears to be a simple, effective and safe treatment option for placenta praevia and accreta spectrum disorders, as an alternative to hysterectomy.

To evaluate the clinical efficacy and immune function of Daratumumab combined with chemotherapy in patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). ⋯ Daratumumab combined with a PAD regimen is a safe and effective approach that has a definite curative effect on patients with RRMM, which can improve immune function significantly and result in no significant increase in adverse reactions.

To compare the effects of ultrasound-guided serratus anterior plane block (SAPB) and thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) on postoperative analgesia and inflammation control in patients undergoing upper abdominal surgery. ⋯ SAPB block under ultrasound guidance for patients undergoing upper abdominal surgery has good anesthetic and analgesic effect and can significantly improve the level of postoperative inflammation.
