To investigate the prediction performance of serum placental growth factor (PLGF), free human chorionic gonadotropin β (β-hCG) and pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) levels in early pregnancy for pregnancy outcomes. ⋯ Serum PLGF, PAPP-A and β-hCG in early pregnancy are more effective in predicting adverse pregnancy outcomes. Clinical monitoring of patients with increased PLGF, decreased PAPP-A, and increased β-hCG should be strengthened, especially the monitoring of antepartum examination and B-ultrasound detection of pregnant women with abnormal indicators in middle and late pregnancy, so as to identify adverse pregnancy outcomes as early as possible and give targeted intervention.

To compare the clinical efficacy of robot of stereotactic assistant (ROSA) and frame-assisted stereotactic drilling and drainage for intracerebral hematoma in hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH). ⋯ Compared with frame-assisted stereotactic drilling and drainage for intracerebral hematoma, ROSA in HICH treatment shortens the surgical duration and postoperative extubation time, reduces the risks of infection and rehemorrhage and decreases inflammatory level, which is helpful for the recovery of neurological function.

To observe the changes of blood gas and serum indexes in patients with acute heart failure complicated with respiratory failure treated by noninvasive ventilator-assisted ventilation. ⋯ In patients with acute heart failure and respiratory failure, noninvasive ventilator-assisted ventilation results in improved blood gas analysis indexes and lower levels of heart disease markers, NT-pro BNP and cTnI.

Polymorphism in cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) and its regulatory gene peroxisome proliferator activated receptor (PPARA) may significantly affect the metabolism of tacrolimus. This study aims to explore the effect of the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) of cytochrome P450 3A4 and PPARA on the pharmacological variables of adverse effects and the concentration-to-dose ratio (CDR) of the immune suppressant drug tacrolimus in Pakistani liver transplant recipients. ⋯ Genotyping for CYP3A4 rs35599367 polymorphism during dose titration may shorten the duration to reach optimal tacrolimus trough levels and may help predict adverse events in transplant recipients receiving tacrolimus; genotyping for PPARA rs4253728 and rs4823613 may predict the incidence of ACR.

Posterior Urethral Valves (PUV) are common cause of congenital obstructive uropathy in boys and may be associated with urinary tract infection(UTI) and chronic kidney disease(CKD) if not managed timely. The objective of our study was to determine the clinical profile of children with PUV. ⋯ Our study showed a high frequency of UTI and AKI. E. coli was most common pathogen. Despite valve fulgration, significant patients had CKD.
