To observe the clinical efficacy on total or near-total thyroidectomy in the treatment of thyroid cancer. ⋯ Total thyroidectomy is effective in the treatment of thyroid cancer, but has many postoperative complications. Clinicians need to choose the appropriate surgical method according to the actual condition of patients.

Eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are psychiatric and public health issues that are prevalent among medical students, especially females. This study's objective was to examine the epidemiology of eating disorders, specifically their associated risk factors, such as body mass index (BMI), gender, academic year of studies, and socio-demographic factors among medical students at King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. ⋯ Eating disorders are common among medical students. The strongest predictors of eating disorders among the study group were female gender in the pre-clinical stage and being overweight or obese. This study highlights an underrated health problem among Saudi medical students. The implementation of eating disorders preventive program during medical schools that target females may be helpful. Further research is needed to address the best preventive and treatment strategies for EDs among medical students.

PHF-dia (Poly Herbal Formulation Diabetes) is a polyhedral formulation possessing antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipdimic effects. This study aims to assess acute and sub-acute toxicity of PHF-dia in rats. ⋯ This indicates safe nature of PHF-dia for the further clinical trials. However, mechanism of action of PHF-dia is not fully understood.

Ileosigmoid knotting (ISK) is a rare double-loop ileus form. Therefore, its physiopathology including the triggering factors, are not well investigated. We aimed to discuss the physiopathology, particularly the triggering factors in ISK. ⋯ Although there is not enough data on this subject in the literature, increased bowel motility, excessive body motions, and overeating appear as the triggering factors in the forming of ISK.

To compare the outcomes of Ponseti treatment with the traditional treatment method for clubfoot. ⋯ Ponseti treatment is better than earlier treatment in terms of lesser need of surgeries, higher flexibility of ankle or foot, and lower presence of X-ray guided talar flattening.
