To find the frequency of complete remission rate after standard 3+7 induction therapy in patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) among different clinicopathological groups. ⋯ It was concluded that 3+7 induction chemotherapy has 54% CR rates in patients with AML. Whereas, in AML-M5, AML-M6, AML-NOS patients especially, with high LDH and TLC and patients with advanced age, CR rate is low and needs more aggressive treatment.

Placenta previa and its accompanying fetomaternal complications are increasing day by day because of globally increasing rates of cesarean deliveries, trends of assisted reproductive techniques, and delaying pregnancies to later ages. Placenta previa is an important contributor to iatrogenic and mostly emergent preterm deliveries, which add to increased neonatal morbidity and mortality. The predictors of preterm deliveries can help clinician make necessary preparations for optimal fetomaternal outcome. The aim of the current study was to determine relationship of placental edge thickness and cervical length with gestation at delivery in patients having placenta previa. ⋯ There is linear inverse relationship of placental edge thickness with gestation at delivery. The relationship of cervical length with gestation is positive linear. Patients with thick placental edge are more likely to deliver preterm than those having thin placental edge.

To investigate the effects of lymphocyte (LY), C-reactive protein (CRP) and prealbumin (PA) levels on the clinical typing and course of disease in children infected with novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) at the early stage. ⋯ CRP is correlated with the clinical typing of children with 2019-nCoV infection, while LY and PA levels may be closely correlated with the clinical typing and course of treatment of children with 2019-nCoV infection.

All medicine and healthcare undergraduates were encountered with terminations and delays of professional examinations. These alterations were on topmost of other tasks the COVID-19 pandemic carried out for instance not roaming, covered faces with masks and specifically segregation. This interruption of normal life was a major cause of mental health disaster and it is no surprise that medicine and healthcare undergraduate has had high rates of psychological effects including hopelessness, stress and suicidal thoughts. This study aimed to investigate the unmediated connection of anxiety and stress related mental health decline and suicide among medical and nonmedical undergraduates during the pandemic of covid-19. ⋯ This study offered more data that the concerns, anxieties and uncertainties caused by pandemic COVID-19, don't roll out alone but remain as long-lasting problems demanding ongoing attention.

To analyze the systems and tools involved in assessment of skill procurement and demonstrating workplace skills in postgraduate medical training. ⋯ There are multiple lacunae regarding competency-based assessment systems in our training programs and a massive scope for improvement. Assessment systems should be implemented as continuous process of learning, self-reflection, feedback and revalidation throughout the training tenure at regular and multiple points.
