The Cleft palate is one of the most commonly encountered congenital deformity in plastic surgery clinics and can be associated with cleft lip and alveolus. Though palate repair can be associated with several complications, the most frequent and troublesome is anterior fistula formation. Various technical modifications are in practice to avoid this dreaded complication. We have started combining gingivoperiosteoplasty with palate repair to avoid postoperative anterior fistula formation and to close alveolar cleft at the same time. ⋯ Gingivoperiosteoplasty combined with the palatal repair is a novel technique for the prevention of anterior palatal fistula.

To investigate the application effect of mixed reality (MR) holographic imaging technology in the clinical surgical treatment of spinal cord glioma. ⋯ With the application of MR holographic imaging technology in the surgical treatment of spinal cord glioma, critical clinical value can be realized. Specifically, the resection degree of spinal cord glioma can be displayed in real time, accurately, and three-dimensionally, the effect of surgical resection can be improved, surgical complications can be diminished, and the recovery of spinal cord function can be accelerated.

Posterior Urethral Valves (PUV) are common cause of congenital obstructive uropathy in boys and may be associated with urinary tract infection(UTI) and chronic kidney disease(CKD) if not managed timely. The objective of our study was to determine the clinical profile of children with PUV. ⋯ Our study showed a high frequency of UTI and AKI. E. coli was most common pathogen. Despite valve fulgration, significant patients had CKD.
