Prisons are reported as hub for communicable disease, as the closed environment, overcrowding, poor hygienic conditions facilitate the disease transmission. This study was conducted to describe contact tracing to identify, educate and manage COVID-19 in camp jail Lahore and to describe clinical and epidemiological features of disease in prisoners. ⋯ In order to prevent Covid-19 outbreaks, proactive containment and comprehensive contact tracing to identify monitor and manage cases and contacts, in incarcerated facilities like prisons is a public health solution to prevent and control large scale epidemic. Active monitoring for infected patients, and implementing timely infection prevention and control measures are mandatory for highly infectious Covid-19 in this vulnerable population.

To retrospectively evaluate a multidisciplinary cooperative first aid model for the treatment of patients with pelvic and multiple fractures in the emergency department. ⋯ The multidisciplinary cooperative first aid model for the treatment of patients with pelvic and multiple fractures can effectively shorten the treatment time, increase the excellent functional rehabilitation rate, inhibit the release of inflammatory factors, and reduce the incidence of complications (such as infections), when compared to the conventional trauma emergency system.

To compare the efficacy and safety of intravenous thrombolysis with alteplase and intravenous thrombolysis with urokinase for patients with acute cerebral infarction. ⋯ In the treatment of acute cerebral infarction, ccompared with urokinase, alteplase can further relieve cognitive impairment and promote the recovery of nerve function through inhibiting levels of inflammatory factors and levels of serum Hcy and MCP-1.

To document improvement in quality of life in patients with Hepatitis-C related cirrhosis after successful eradication of the virus. ⋯ Chronic HCV infection complicated by cirrhosis causes a significant decline in quality of life. There was a marked improvement in the functional, social and physical health of the patients after eradication of Hepatitis-C with anti-viral therapy except emotional health of the individuals.

To summarize existing evidence on the quality of life and influencing factors in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. ⋯ There was a relatively high proportion of patients with age ≥ 60 years, dialysis time ≥ one year, income less than 3000 yuan/month, primary disease is diabetic nephropathy, low medical insurance reimbursement, depression and anxiety. Timely nursing interventions such as reasonable nutritional support, comprehensive monitoring and psychological counseling for patients with the above situation may be helpful in improving quality of life of MHD patients.
