To evaluate the clinical safety of left internal mammary artery (LIMA) harvesting in hemodynamically unstable patients after establishing cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in isolated coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. ⋯ The study showed that LIMA can be safely harvested in unstable patients after establishing extracorporeal circulation and by using this operative strategy in patients who need urgent or emergent surgical coronary revascularization LIMA can be safely used as a conduit.

To determine the classification and etiological diagnosis of children presented with ambiguous genitalia/atypical genitalia according to the newer classification system of Disorder of Sex Development (DSD). ⋯ Ambiguous genitalia have varied etiologies, 46; XXDSD found being the commonest of all, showing predominance of CAH especially salt loosing type. The early detection and prompt treatment of cases of ambiguous genitalia plays a pivotal role in the management of acute life threatening condition and gender assignment.

To determine the role of montelukast - a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) - in improving the quality of life (QOL) and asthma control of adult patients with mild to moderate persistent asthma. ⋯ The role of montelukast in improving QOL of adult patients with mild to moderate persistent asthma is quite beneficial. It improves patient quality of life. It has the ease of once daily oral administration and also eradicates side effects associated with long-term adherence to steroids.

To evaluate the depression and anxiety status and related risk factors in patients with lumbar disc herniation, and help spine surgeons better identify those patients who need psychological care. ⋯ Psychological intervention is critical for patients with lumbar disc herniation, especially for those female patients with severe pain and longer disease duration.
