To determine frequency of stress, anxiety and depression and their coping mechanisms in undergraduate students of a private sector university. ⋯ Stress, anxiety and depression are found to be highly prevalent among undergraduate students in medical setting in Karachi. Awareness, recognition, and timely management may reduce stress among the students and improve their performance and quality of life.

This study was conducted to assess outcomes in patients with hydrocephalus who underwent ventriculoperitoneal shunting at Keen's point. ⋯ Our experience with VP shunting at Keen's point resulted in excellent outcomes. It can be used for the management of hydrocephalus both in pediatric as well as adult population.

To identify the prevalence of domestic violence and the factors that influence domestic violence. ⋯ Low social status in Turkey was connected to the level of domestic violence. Efforts should be made to improve women's social status. Changing the country's patriarchal system, and educating women and their spouses can be useful in preventing domestic violence.

To determine the seasonal variation of acute appendicitis. ⋯ Acute appendicitis incidence is increased in summer months in Pakistan. Preventive measures can be taken during summer season (June to Aug) to decrease morbidity and mortality associated with this disease.
