To investigate the analgesic effect of thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy under general anesthesia (GA). ⋯ TPVB combined with GA can improve the analgesic effect, improve MAP and HR during the operation, and reduce the incidence of adverse events in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy.

To evaluate the prevalence of reduced visual acuity (VA), refractive errors (RE), reduced contrast sensitivity and strabismus in developmentally delayed (DD) patients. ⋯ The results of our study in DD children have shown that a significant number of children have reduced VA, RE, strabismus and reduced contrast sensitivity. Apart from general management of DD children by a pediatrician, the ophthalmic management of these problems must be carried out by a pediatric ophthalmologist to improve their quality of life.

To determine the efficacy of preoperative Tranexamic Acid (TXA) in reducing perioperative allogenic blood transfusion frequency in patients with intertrochanteric fractures treated with Dynamic Hip Screw (DHS). ⋯ Tranexamic acid (TXA) significantly reduces the frequency of peri operative allogenic blood transfusion in patients undergoing Dynamic Hip Screw (DHS) for intertrochanteric fractures.

To determine diagnostic accuracy of 18F-FDG PET - CT imaging in determining Bone marrow involvement in pediatric HL by taking bone marrow biopsy as standard. ⋯ Our findings support the idea that BMB should not be routinely conducted in all patients but rather can be reserved exclusively for patients with dubious 18F-FDG bone marrow findings, as this test has strong diagnostic potential for evaluating BMI involvement in HL.

To evaluate the effects of periodontal initial therapy combined with orthodontic treatment on anterior tooth function and inflammatory factors in gingival crevicular fluid in patients with periodontal disease induced anterior tooth displacement. ⋯ Periodontal initial therapy combined with orthodontic treatment has a significant effect on anterior teeth displacement caused by periodontal disease, which deserves promotion clinically.
