Glycemic Control and Its Relationship with Diabetes Self-Care Behaviors Among Patients with Type 2 Diabetes in Northern Jordan: A Cross-Sectional Study.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic progressive disease that significantly impacts morbidity and mortality worldwide. Glycemic control is central in diabetes management, yet complex and challenging to achieve; it can be affected by various factors. Diabetes self-care behaviors are vital strategies for effective T2DM management. ⋯ The proportions of poor glycemic control and unsatisfactory self-care behaviors were high among T2DM patients. To enhance patients' self-care behaviors and lifestyles changes, the patients need tailored diabetes self-care management educational and supportive programs, conducted by qualified diabetes educators using culturally sensitive strategies.

A Mixed-Methods Study of COVID-19 Vaccine Acceptance and Its Determinants Among Pregnant Women in Northeast Ethiopia.
The World Health Organization recommends that pregnant women should receive a vaccine against COVID-19. However, COVID-19 vaccine hesitance was one of the barriers to delivering the vaccine, and this issue was not well addressed in Ethiopia. Therefore, we aimed to determine the prevalence of COVID-19 vaccination acceptability and the factors that influence it among pregnant women in Northeast Ethiopia. ⋯ In this study, the acceptability of the COVID-19 vaccine was low. Therefore, health professionals should disseminate accurate vaccination information and address misinformation to boost vaccine acceptance among pregnant women.

Experience of Rural Family Caregivers for Older Adults in Co-Residential Family Care Arrangements in Central Ethiopia: Motives of Family Caregivers in Reciprocal Relationship.
This study aimed to describe the experience of rural family caregivers' motive to care for older adults in rural Ethiopia. ⋯ Strengthening the capacity of family caregivers through training and economic support to care for older adults should be emphasized. Early child-parent relationships and religious values should get attention from family practitioners and policymakers.

The Attitude, Perception, and Mental Health of Patients Receiving Orthodontic Treatment During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Saudi Arabia.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced dental clinics to shut down indefinitely, leaving thousands of orthodontic patients in unending fear and dismay. The study aimed to assess the attitude, perceptions and mental health status of patients undergoing orthodontic treatment in Saudi Arabia during the lockdown. ⋯ The current pandemic has impacted the mental health status of orthodontic patients in some form or another. Older females with longer treatment times were more affected by the lockdown. The lack of effective communication from the orthodontist led to some negative perceptions about their treatment.

Patient Preferences in Shared Decision Making During Healthcare and Associated Factors Among Adult Admitted Patients at Public Hospitals of West Shoa Oromia, Ethiopia.
Patient preferences mean the choices of individuals to make decisions about health and medical treatment by using their own experiences, beliefs, and values. The aim of this study was to assess patient preferences in shared decision making during healthcare and associated factors among adult admitted patients at public hospitals of West Shoa Oromia, Ethiopia. ⋯ More than half of respondents 261 (64.8%) prefer shared decision making in a collaborative role with healthcare providers. Age, marital status, and level of education are factors associated with the patient preferences in shared decision making. The Ethiopian ministry of health should work on policy of shared decision making. Healthcare providers have to consider patients in shared decision making.
