Assessment of the Influence of Physicians' Attire on Surgical Patients' Perception. Across-Sectional Study in Aabet Hospital, AddisAbeba, Ethiopia, 2021.
In Ethiopia, physicians commonly wear formal attire, surgical scrubs, casual attire, or business attire during patient care, but there is no evidence to show which attire is preferred within the patients. So this study aims to assess the influence of physicians' attire on patients' perceptions. ⋯ Physician attire is one of the important factors that inspire surgical patient confidence, smartness, surgical skill, discussion of confidential information, and caring ability in physicians. Formal attire and surgical scrub were the most preferred physician's outfits.

Exploring the Gap Between Patients' Expectations and Perceptions of Healthcare Service Quality.
This study aimed to explore the gap between patients' expectations of healthcare service quality in Jordanian hospitals against their perceptions of service received using SERVQUAL model. ⋯ Hospital managers should take necessary actions to improve healthcare services in their hospitals with respect to all SERVQUAL domains. These actions should be directed to reduce the gap between patients' expectation and their perceptions in order to provide services meet patients' needs.

The Healthcare Needs of International Clients in China: A Qualitative Study.
Due to globalization, an increasing number of international visitors comes to China. The needs of their medical care are understudied, which can cause low patient satisfaction and lead to poor clinical outcomes for the clients. To meet those international clients' medical care needs, hospitals in China are seeking strategies to improve services. ⋯ The government and institutional administrators around the world should construct the policies and protocols and integrate cultural competence, communication skills, and privacy and confidentiality protection into health professionals training program to ensure the quality services in the international clinics.

Patient Preferences for Attributes of Health Canada Approved Weight Loss Medications Among Adults Living with Obesity in Canada: A Qualitative Study.
Obesity is a complex disease with negative impacts on physical and mental health. The treatment of obesity is an area where shared decision making and patient preferences play an important role. Recommendations surrounding weight loss medications are evolving and only recently, with the publication of the 2020 Canadian Obesity Management Clinical Guidelines, pharmacotherapy has become a recommended alternative for obesity management. Guidelines recommend three medications: orlistat, liraglutide, and naltrexone/bupropion. This study sought to identify medication attributes relevant to patients starting pharmacotherapy for weight management. ⋯ This study identified attributes that influenced patient's decisions when considering a new anti-obesity medication. Understanding these attributes can assist clinicians in shared decision-making. This study highlighted the stigma that is prevalent among providers and the need for education. Further research should be conducted to understand the tradeoffs patients in our study make between the identified attributes.

Early Postnatal Care: Exploring Primary Caregivers' Experiences of Continuity of Care After Discharge at Selected Districts in Limpopo Province South Africa.
Early postnatal discharge is perceived as a factor that contributes to possible maternal, neonatal complications and deaths during the first week of delivery. Continuing with provision of home-based postnatal care by the primary caregivers is crucial to prevent morbidity and mortality. ⋯ Primary caregivers displayed acceptable indigenous skills and knowledge of providing early postnatal care. However, the skills of detecting potential danger signs were not adequately displayed. It was recommended that midwives need to create awareness to primary caregivers from the antenatal through postnatal care period. Community Health Workers to assist during immediate postnatal check-ups (mother and neonate) which is done within 72hours of delivery. The health education, counseling, and community-based awareness campaigns are to be done with a focus on the detection and prevention of possible complications to mother and baby.
