The Development of Schematics to Illustrate Women's Experiences with Adjuvant Hormone Therapy in the Treatment of Breast Cancer.
Non-adherence to adjuvant hormone therapy prescribed orally in the treatment of breast cancer is complex as the literature has shown. Many women find it hard to adhere to the hormonal medicines they are prescribed and expected to take for at least 5 years following the initial management of their breast cancer. Arguably, communicating other women's 'trials, tribulations, and triumphs' with medication-taking could help newly-diagnosed patients to better prepare for the journey ahead. Our objective was to visually represent women's experiences with these medicines using data synthesized in the literature. ⋯ Synthesised summaries of women's experiences with oral hormone therapy for breast cancer were visualised via three validated schematics. The schematics could aid patient-professional communication to help anticipate and tackle negative experiences and support decisions to take hormone medication in breast cancer.

Adherence to Inhaled Corticosteroid Therapy and Its Clinical Impact on Asthma Control in Adults Living with Asthma in Northwestern Ethiopian Hospitals.
Inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) are the backbone of and primary choice for long-term asthma control therapy; however, the level of adherence to this regimen has not yet been investigated, particularly in the study area of Northwest Ethiopia. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the level of adherence to ICS treatment and its impact on adults living with asthma in Northwestern Ethiopian hospitals. ⋯ This study found that adult patients with asthma had low levels of adherence to ICS therapy. Future prospective research in a larger population, focusing on identifying the obstacles to ICS adherence in patients living with asthma and creating successful intervention options, is recommended.

Intention to Use and Predictors of Use of Maternity Waiting Home among Pregnant Women in Hargeisa City Health Centers, Somaliland.
Maternity waiting homes (MWHs) can help women receive the necessary obstetric care and referral if needed. However, there is a lack of evidence on whether women have the desire to stay away from their homes and the sociocultural predictors of their decision in Somaliland. ⋯ Using an MWH is not the preference of many women. Personal characteristics, such as education, multigravidity, and perceived social pressure are important predictors of intention to use MWHs. It is important to raise the awareness of women and the community about the benefits of using MWHs in the early management of obstetric complications.
