An Observational Cohort Study to Evaluate the Impact of a Tailored Medicines Optimisation Service on Medication Use, Accident and Emergency Department Visits, and Admissions Among Patients Identified with Medication Support Needs in Secondary Care.
Quantifying the impact of pharmacy interventions, such as tailored medicines optimisation, can be challenging owing to the sometimes-indirect nature of their effect on patient outcomes such A&E (Accident & Emergency) attendance, hospital admission and length of stay. This study aimed to assess the impact of the, Lewisham Integrated Medicines Optimisation Service (LIMOS) on medicines self-management, A&E attendances and hospital admissions. ⋯ Specialist pharmacy interventions, which include support with medicines management, have a positive impact on admission avoidance and length of hospital stay.

Exercise Adherence and Compliance and Its Related Factors Among Elderly Patients with Type 2 Diabetes in China: A Cross-Sectional Study.
To explore exercise adherence and compliance as well as its related factors among elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) to provide a basis for clinical intervention strategies. ⋯ Low exercise adherence and compliance was related to low glucose self-monitoring frequency, increased hypoglycemia, less exercise knowledge, less exercise willingness, less professional support, and less self-efficiency. When developing exercise instructions adapted to the cognitive and volitional needs of diabetic patients, it is essential to focus on their daily self-management habits and extrinsic motivation to improve exercise adherence and compliance.

Exploring Health-Related Quality of Life Burden in Peanut Allergy and the Potential Benefit of Oral Immunotherapy: Estimation of Health State Utility Values for Children and Adolescents and Their Caregivers.
This study aimed to estimate utility values for health states relating to oral immunotherapy (OIT) for peanut allergy (PA), for children with PA and their caregivers. ⋯ This study is the first to assess utilities relating to OIT for PA. The results show the potential benefit of OIT for individuals with PA and their caregivers and provide values for use in cost-effectiveness evaluation.

Determinant Factors of COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy Among Adult and Elderly Population in Central Java, Indonesia.
The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination program has been rolled out to address the pandemic. However, the COVID-19 vaccination coverage rate in Indonesia, especially in Central Java, is low. The study aimed to identify COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and to determine the factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. ⋯ A high acceptance rate of the COVID-19 vaccine was found in this study. However, vaccine hesitancy is a major public health concern for attaining herd immunity and reducing the risk of case mortality. These findings could be the strategic focus for the government to improve COVID-19 vaccination coverage.
