Perceptions of engagement in health care among patients with tuberculosis: a qualitative study.
Adherence to treatment is cited as a key challenge in fighting tuberculosis (TB). Treatment of TB requires patients to actively engage in their care. The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of patients with TB regarding their engagement in health care. ⋯ The patients' perceptions of their engagement in health care were generally negative. Paying attention to the preferences and needs of patients and making decisions accordingly are effective strategies for promoting patient engagement. Moreover, HCPs should be aware of their crucial role in helping patients make sense of what engagement is and how to engage. In the process of engagement, providers should establish effective interactions with patients and cooperate with family and peers.

What is the most important factor affecting patient satisfaction - a study based on gamma coefficient.
Objective: To analyze the influencing factors of patients satisfaction and find out the key factors, so as to provide suggestions for improving health policy. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted in Wuhan China. A total of 2,719 questionnaires were collected and 2,626 valid answer sheets were obtained. ⋯ Patients had a higher degree of satisfaction with the "Hospital convenience", "Hospital facilities and environment", "Medical staff services technology", "Medical staff service attitude", but had a lower degree of satisfaction with "Medical expense" and "Reimbursement ratio for medical expenses". Conclusion: "Medical staff's service attitude", "Medical staff services technology" and "Hospital convenience" was the most three important factors. The health managers should focus on the above three aspects and implement appropriate management decisions to improve patient satisfaction.

Patient satisfaction and acceptability of an on-demand and on-prophylaxis device for factor VIII delivery in patients with hemophilia A.
FuseNGO is a relatively new device consisting of a prefilled dual-chamber syringe (DCS) that was recently introduced for the reconstitution of recombinant factor VIII. Herein, the DCS device was assessed using five questionnaires with the primary aim of evaluating patient perceptions and preferences. ⋯ Considering patient-reported outcomes, the DCS device was associated with easier preparation, storage, disposal of equipment, and overall use. Of particular note, preparation times were reduced by around 50%. The majority of patients were satisfied with the device and overall adherence scores were high. Considering these results, the device has the potential to increase adherence to therapy and, possibly, reduce healthcare costs.

Associations of different adherences in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
The objective of our cross-sectional study is to explore the adherence behavior of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) by examining the association between the various types of adherence. The success of diabetic therapy partly relies on patient motivation, psych-odemographic variables (self-efficacy, health literacy, and health locus of control [HLOC]), and adherence. The aim of our research was to explore the attitudes of T2DM patients toward medication and lifestyle therapy, thus gaining a deeper insight into the role of adherence-determining parameters in disease management. ⋯ Adherence to medication, diet, glucose monitoring, and physical exercise showed different levels in T2DM patients and were in association with psychodemographic factors.
