A survey on glycemic control rate of type 2 diabetes mellitus with different therapies and patients' satisfaction in China.

From the score of the PACIC - DSF, there is no significant difference in general satisfaction with medical care measures in different treatments. What is more, education level, occupation and exercise of patients with type 2 diabetes had influence on PACIC - DSF score. Comparing quality of life and treatment satisfaction between patients on warfarin and direct oral anticoagulants: a cross-sectional study.
Patient quality of life (QOL) while on long-term oral anticoagulant therapy has been receiving greater attention in recent years due to the increase in life expectancy brought about by advances in medical care. This study aimed to compare the QOL, treatment satisfaction, hospitalization and bleeding rate in patients on long-term warfarin versus direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC). ⋯ Compared to warfarin, treatment of NVAF and VTE with DOAC showed comparable QOL, higher treatment satisfaction, lesser hospitalization, and a non-significant trend toward fewer bleeding episodes.

Achievement of patients' preferences for participation in oncological symptom management and its association with perceived quality of care.
The subjectivity of symptom experience and the recognized role of patients in symptom management highlight the need to understand cancer patients' participation in symptom management and to identify the associations between patient participation and quality of care. However, research on patient participation has focused mostly on general healthcare activities, rather than symptom management, especially in cancer-care settings. This study aimed to compare the congruence between cancer patients' preference for and actual perceived experience of participation in symptom management and identify the relationships between preferred and actual patient participation and perceived quality of care. ⋯ This study identified substantial agreement between patients' preferred and actual participation, given the generally passive preference. The findings indicated that supporting patients to achieve their preferred level of participation may be more important than focusing activities on encouraging increased desire to participate for the purpose of care-quality improvement.

Treatment Adherence Among Patients with Five Dermatological Diseases and Four Treatment Types - a Cross-Sectional Study.
Treatment non-adherence leads to negative therapeutic outcomes and financial burdens on the healthcare system. This study aims to compare the mean adherence scores among patients with five dermatological diseases and four treatment types and to identify the associated patient-related factors. ⋯ Psoriasis and chronic dermatitis patients had the lowest mean adherence scores. Patient who were on oral medication had the highest adherence score, while those on topical medication had the lowest score. The thoughtful consideration of factors associated with high adherence is important for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
