Perspectives and experiences of Thai adults using wheelchairs regarding barriers of access to dental services: a mixed methods study.
To explore the perspectives and experiences of Thai wheelchair users regarding barriers of access to dental services and report potential solutions in terms of customer satisfaction. ⋯ This study reflects the unheard voices of wheelchair users and provides rigorous evidence in Thai context that difficulties of access to dental services persist. Policy makers and oral health professionals in oral health system should be alerted to the explicit barriers reported, such that equitable and equal dental services for disabled individuals can be developed.

Disease-related information requirements in patients with Crohn's disease.
To explore the demands for different disease-related information and the acceptance of various information sources in patients with Crohn's disease (CD). ⋯ Patients' information demands concerning many aspects of CD are generally high. Certain demands are significantly associated with the demographic characteristics of the patients. Doctor-mediated guidance, brochures, and videos are the top 3 patient choices for information sources. Therefore, corresponding education programs can be developed to improve the physical and psychological health of CD patients in the future.

Development and assessment of reliable patient-based hypodontia website.
The aim of the study was to develop a high-quality valid patient information website with regard to hypodontia and its management, and to test its effectiveness in delivering this information. ⋯ This study found that patients felt that a hypodontia website was effective in improving their perceived knowledge of hypodontia.

Psychometric properties and assessment of the Osteoporosis Health Belief Scale among the general Arabic population.
Any educational program should be implemented with a good understanding of the population's beliefs. Therefore, the aims of this study were to validate the Arabic version of the Osteoporosis Health Belief Scale (OHBS-A) and assess the osteoprotective attitude among the Iraqi population. ⋯ Besides cultural obstacles, an educational program for both genders and all age groups is important and should be tailored according to culture needs.

Dental professionalism and influencing factors: patients' perception.
Professionalism was recognized as a fundamental competency of medical/dental practice at the beginning of the twenty-first century. Organizations and experts published several definitions of professionalism, but research on patients' perception of professionalism has been limited. To address this gap in literature, this study explored dental patients' perception of dental professionalism, and then compared their perception with that of dental professionals. ⋯ Patients' and dentists' perception of dental professionalism and professional behavior vary in certain aspects. These differences must be addressed to ensure excellence of dental service. Dental professionals must also be aware of the personal factors that affect a patient's perception of professionalism.
