[Epidemiology of ischemic heart disease and characteristics of atherosclerosis in male residents in Yakutsk].
To study trends in prevalence, risk factors (RF) and mortality of ischemic heart disease (IHD), contribution of RF to risk of death due to IHD and other cardiovascular diseases (CVD) among male population of Yakutsk; to determine characteristics of atherosclerosis among native male population and migrants. ⋯ Present-day epidemiological situation in relation to IHD and other CVD necessitates further monitoring of the situation, activation of primary and secondary IHD prevention among population of the Far North.

[Immunogenetic aspects of duodenal ulcer in Helicobacter pylori positive Europeans in Western Siberia].
To study HLA associations with HP-positive duodenal ulcer (DU). ⋯ These data suggest that HLA may influence duodenal ulcer susceptibility and resistance. The relationships help prognosticate not only development of the disease in HP infection but also the age of the infection manifestation.

Comparative Study
[Features of the association of Helicobacter pylori infection and ulcer in Europeans and Mongoloids in Siberia].
To study association between Helicobacter Pylori infection in ulcer in native population and migrants in Siberia. ⋯ Siberial Europeoids and Mongoloids have specific ethnic features of ulcer occurrence and its association with HP. Native population is protected better from the pathogenic bacteria. Further study of the causes of virulent bacterial properties and mechanisms maintaining long persistance of HP in the stomach is necessary.

[Changes in hemostasis system in patients with hereditary thrombophilia caused by mutation of blood coagulation factor V ( factor V Leiden)].
To study the incidence of mutation of Leyden's factor V in patients with venous thrombosis and the hemostatic system in carrier of this genetic defect. ⋯ Detection of signs of hypercoagulation in patients with inherited thrombophilia at recovery in carriers of Leyden's factor V without clinical manifestations of thrombosis shows it necessary to make a particularly careful monitoring of the hemostatic system in these subjects. This is especially important for hypercoagulation-predisposing situations, such as pregnancy, surgical interventions, long-term immobilization, use of contraceptives, etc. when preventive measures may be used to prevent thrombotic events.

To study etiology, clinico-laboratory characteristics and early prognosis of reactive arthritis developing after respiratory infections (priReA). ⋯ In young patients with early ReA respiratory etiology is observed more frequently than urogenital and enterocolitic ones. Compared to other kinds of ReA, priReA demonstrates some genetic, clinical and prognostic peculiarities.
