Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) is a common chronic pain syndrome that may affect quality of life, daily living activities, and psychological status. Ultrasound (US)-guided rhomboid intercostal block (RIB) is a recently defined plane block and used for chronic pain such as postmastectomy syndrome and MPS. Our aim was to evaluate the efficacy of US-guided RIB for the management of pain, quality of life, physical disability, and patient satisfaction in MPS. ⋯ Our study demonstrated that RIB had improved neck function, physical and mental quality of life, and patient satisfaction in MPS. Therefore, we think US-guided RIB could be an alternative treatment modality in patients suffering from MPS.

This study aimed to evaluate the diameter and flow changes in the circle of Willis and side branches following the use of FDSs extending from the middle cerebral artery (MCA) to the internal carotid artery (ICA) for the treatment of aneurysms in the terminal segment of ICA, and the clinical results. ⋯ If the AComA is patent, ipsilateral anterior circulation can be compensated through modifications in the contralateral ACA A1 segment in patients with ICA terminal segment aneurysms treated with FDSs extended from MCA to ICA and covering ACA. Although covering the anterior choroidal and lenticulostriate arteries by FDSs, ischemic complications may not occur frequently. Thus, this effective therapy can be applied more safely.

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF) and the level of cardiovascular risk (CVR), determined with different scales (REGICOR, SCORE, ERICE, vascular age...) in people with low and normal weight. ⋯ All the CVRS analyzed showed higher values in the group of people with normal weight compared to those with underweight. Age, followed by sex, were the variables that most influence the appearance of high CVR values.

Clinical exacerbations characterized with neurological symptoms are observed in around 10% of Behçet's disease (BD) patients and may culminate in severe disability. Although certain immunological factors have been associated with disease activity in neuro-Behçet's disease (NBD), biomarkers for monitoring the clinical outcome of NBD have not been properly investigated. ⋯ CSF level of NFL appears to predict the prospective somatic and cognitive disability in NBD patients and may thus be potentially used as a biomarker of clinical outcome in this disease.

Perioperative FLOT regimen is a standard of care in locally advanced operable gastric and GEJ adenocarcinoma. We aimed to determine the efficacy, prognostic factors of perioperative FLOT chemotherapy in real-life gastric and GEJ tumors. ⋯ Real-life perioperative FLOT regimen in operable gastric and GEJ tumors showed similar oncologic outcomes compared to clinical trials. Better performance status, receiving adjuvant chemotherapy as same regimen, low grade and low NLR and PLR improved outcomes in real-life. However, in multivariate analysis, only NLR affected OS.
