In this study, we aimed to investigate different types of celiac antibodies in psoriasis patients and to see if the presenceof the antibodies was associated with other variables. ⋯ There was no increase in the AGA-IgA/IgG and tTG-IgA/IgG levels in psoriasis patients compared to the healthy population. However, hypertensive psoriasis patients had higher AGA-IgA levels compared to normotensive ones.

Childhood anaphylaxis presents with a heterogeneous clinic. Elicitors and epidemiologic factors associated with anaphylaxis differ with age, geographic location and lifestyle. This study aimed to determine the clinical features and age-specific patterns of childhood anaphylaxis in a single referral center in Turkey. ⋯ Findings reveal that children diagnosed with anaphylaxis differ in terms of etiological and clinical findings according to age groups. This difference shows the dynamically changing clinic of anaphylaxis over time and the importance of evaluating childhood anaphylaxis according to age groups.

Renal ischemia-reperfusion (IR) related acute kidney injury (AKI) is an important health problem and has not yet been fully treated. Tarantula cubensis extract (TCE) is a homeopathic drug that has antiinflammatory and antioxidant effects. This study aimed to investigate the effects of TCE on renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. ⋯ Although TCE showed a protective effect by inhibiting inflammation against IR damage in renal tissues, there was no clear effect on oxidative stress. Larger and more detailed studies are needed to clarify the issue.

Fecal incontinence (FI) generally occurs with anal sphincter damage caused by vaginal delivery in women, obvious FI can develop in the postmenopausal stage. This pelvic floor dysfunction has no rational medical therapeutic options. We investigated the effect of testosterone treatment on the anal sphincter structure, serum thiol/disulfide levels, uterine tissue, and body composition in female rats in an experimental menopause-FI model. ⋯ Testosterone treatment increased the anal sphincter muscle and connective tissue thickness without causing any oxidative stress and did not result in a pathological change in the uterine tissue and body fat composition.

Moderate exercise has beneficial effects for human health and is helpful for the protection against several diseases. However, high intensity exercise training caused gastrointestinal syndrome. Resveratrol, a plant extract, plays a vital role in protecting various organs. However, whether resveratrol protected mice against high intensity exercise training-induced intestinal damage remains unclear. In this study, our objective was to investigate the protective effects and mechanism of resveratrol in high intensity exercise training-treated mice. ⋯ Resveratrol attenuated high intensity exercise training-induced inflammation and ferroptosis through activating Nrf2/ FTH1/GPX4 pathway in mouse colon, which providing new ideas for the prevention and treatment of occupational disease in athlete.
