: Measurement of tissue characteristics such as the longitudinal relaxation time (T1) provides complementary information to the volumetric and surface based structural analyses. We aimed to investigate T1 relaxation time characteristics in healthy aging via an exploratory design in the whole brain. The data processing pipeline was designed to minimize errors related to aging effects such as atrophy. ⋯ T1 mapping provides a practical quantitative MRI (qMRI) methodology for studying the tissue characteristics in healthy aging. T1 values are significantly increased in the aging group among half of the studied ROIs (57 ROIs out of 134).

To describe the disease activity and retention rate in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients with inadequate response (IR) to conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs) and/or tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFis) who were prescribed tocilizumab (TCZ) as first-line or second-line biologic treatment in real-world setting. ⋯ TCZ was found to be effective and safe in RA patients with IR to csDMARDs and/or TNFis. The drug retention rate was considered satisfactory with more than half of the patients continuing TCZ treatment at Month 12.

Considering its early bactericidal activity, isoniazid (H) is an important first-line agent in tuberculosis (TB) treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the treatment regimens and results of H-resistant pulmonary TB patients. ⋯ Our study results show higher treatment success and positive results with the treatment regimen containing FQ and that treatment with HREZ for nine months is associated with a lower treatment success rate.

Endobronchial ultrasonography (EBUS) is a minimally invasive diagnostic tool in the diagnosis of mediastinal lymph nodes (LNs) and has sonographic features. We aimed to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of EBUS elastography, which evaluates tissue compressibility integrated into EBUS, on malignant vs. benign mediastinal-hilar LNs. ⋯ The diagnostic accuracy of EBUS elastography is high enough to distinguish malignant LN from benign ones with the SR option. When compared with EBUS-B mode sonographic findings, it was found to have a higher diagnostic yield.

Disease-modifying treatments (DMT) are used to prevent future relapses and disability. High long-term adherence to treatment is important to achieve disease control. This study aims to investigate and compare adherence, adverse event (AE) profiles, and frequencies, main reasons for treatment discontinuation under Teriflunomide (TERI), Dimethyl Fumarate (DMF), and Fingolimod (FNG) for relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) patients. This study is designed to explore patient-reported experiences in real-life settings. ⋯ Overall treatment discontinuation because of AEs is as low as 10.3% in this study. However, AEs are still the main reason for treatment drop-out.
