A significant correlation is observed between the course of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and body composition parameters including visceral fat quantification, muscle mass, and hepatic attenuation. The aim of the study was to investigate the correlation between the extent of lung involvement and various computed tomography (CT) parameters, as well as laboratory findings in COVID-19 patients. ⋯ In the comparison of the laboratory and radiological data in the course of COVID-19, white blood cell (WBC) and neutrophil counts increased, SMA T12, and the skeletal muscle index (SMI) decreased in the lung progressive group. Hemoglobin and CRP levels at admission may indicate disease progression. Future studies are warranted to increase the reliability with larger series.

The increase in the proportion of the elderly population within society is concurrently escalating their vulnerability to traumas, notably falls associated with age-related comorbidities. ⋯ In the future, specialized measures and prospective studies tailored to the geriatric population, which will constitute the largest demographic segment of society, can facilitate the prevention of trauma-related morbidity and mortality, including associated financial costs.

Migraine is a prevalent neurological disorder that can lead to disability in children and adolescents. It is frequently accompanied by psychiatric comorbidities, both internalizing and externalizing disorders. While the relationship between migraine and internalizing disorders has been studied, there is limited research on the link between migraine and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). ⋯ Internalizing disorders seem to be a risk factor for migraine chronification in pediatric migraine. ADHD is a prototypic externalizing disorder more associated with EM. This outcome provides an opportunity to follow our patients in terms of prognosis and offers us the chance for a better evaluation. Identifying factors that contribute to the chronicity of migraine may lead to better management and reduced disability for migraine sufferers.

Lung transplantation is the treatment of last resort for many chronic lung diseases. Airway complications (AC) following lung transplantation, such as bronchial stenosis, dehiscence, malacia, and fistula, account for frequent hospital admissions, additional treatment costs, decreased quality of life, and reduced survival rates. Beyond surgical and medical preventive efforts, interventional bronchoscopy (IB) can be used in the management of these complications. The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of IB on the management of AC following lung transplantation. ⋯ IB is safe to perform on lung transplant patients with AC. It has low procedural complication rates and can be performed repeatedly. Because of the high rate of restenosis, interventional pulmonologists should find out treatment modalities with lower rates of restenosis.
