To evaluate diagnostic efficacy of the apparent diffusion coefficient measurements from tumor (ADCt) and tumor circumference hyperintensities (ADCtch) in different types of malignant intra-axial brain tumors. ⋯ The mean ADCt ratio allowed reliable differentiation of LGG and high grade brain tumors, including HGGs, metastases, and lymphoma. The mean ADCtch might be a better imaging biomarker in the differentiation of HHG from metastasis and lymphoma.

Is there any difference between oral preemptive pregabalin vs placebo administration on response to EBUS-TBNA under sedation?
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of preemptive oral pregabalin on hemodynamic response, anxiety, sedation, and recovery in patients who underwent endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) under sedation with intravenous ketamine-propofol combination. ⋯ Preemptive oral pregabalin, in addition to sedation with ketamine-propofol combination, was effective in providing limited hemodynamic response, restricted coughing reflex, and lower anxiety during EBUS-TBNA. Besides, with pregabalin usage, decreased anesthetics consumption, lower complication rate, and shorter recovery time might have contributed to safety of the procedure and comfort of the bronchoscopist.

The aim of this study was to determine fetal nuchal translucency (NT) thickness nomogram values in first trimester in a Turkish population and compare them with previously reported European and Asian nomogram data. ⋯ The present study demonstrated the nomogram data of fetal NT thickness in a Turkish population. We think that this report will be useful for further research related to NT thickness values on the prenatal diagnosis for the first trimester chromosomal abnormalities in Turkish populations.

This study aims to describe the technical success of the micropuncture technique, which is performed in placement of tunneled hemodialysis catheters in patients with central venous occlusion and limited access. ⋯ Tunneled dialysis catheter placement through the occluded internal jugular and subclavian veins with the micropuncture technique is effective and safe in patients with limited vascular access. The recanalization of the occluded conventional access routes should always be kept in mind to allow for the preservation of vascular accesses for future requirements.
