To investigate the clinical utility of 3 CSF biomarkers along the clinical spectrum of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). ⋯ This study provides Class III evidence that CSF levels of sAPPβ, YKL-40, and NfL are useful to assess frontotemporal neurodegeneration and the progression rate in the ALS-FTD continuum.

Primary angiitis of the CNS and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome: A comparative study.
To further improve the distinction between primary angiitis of the CNS (PACNS) and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS). ⋯ Our study confirms that careful analysis of clinical context, headache features, and patterns of brain lesions can distinguish PACNS and RCVS within the first few days of admission in most cases. However, diagnosis remains challenging in a few cases.

To determine the stage of training at which neurology residents should achieve individual elements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education neurology Milestones and to examine the relationship between perceived importance of Milestones and the stage by which they should be achieved. ⋯ Expectations for neurology Milestone competency acquisition can be measured and may help inform individual program design, educational expectations, and future Milestone design.
