Family presence during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and invasive procedures: a meta-synthesis.
To synthesize the best qualitative evidence regarding the perception of family members, patients and health professionals about family presence during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and invasive procedures. ⋯ The perception of family members, patients and professionals about family presence is still controversial. The sensitization of these subjects can potentiate the practice by making it more systematized and qualified.

To identify and describe which dressings are recommended to prevent surgical site infection in hospitalized adult patients after cardiac surgeries. ⋯ It was not possible to identify which dressing is most recommended, however, some studies show that certain types of dressings were related to the reduction of infection. Clinical trials with a rigorous methodological design and representative samples able to minimize the risk of bias should be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of dressings in the prevention of surgical site infection.

Analyzing the relationship between social support, quality of life and depression in patients eligible for palliative care at Primary Health Care of a municipality in the interior of Minas Gerais, Brazil. ⋯ Los niveles de calidad de vida, apoyo social y depresión de pacientes elegibles para cuidados paliativos son influenciados por factores socioeconómicos, tales como estado conyugal, sexo, edad, renta, escolaridad y presencia de cuidador.

Evaluating the quality of life of Portuguese patients with schizophrenia and linking it to sociodemographic and clinical aspects. ⋯ Los resultados indican que algunas características sociodemográficas y clínicas influyen en la calidad de vida de los individuos con esquizofrenia, por lo que deben ser consideradas en la evaluación psiquiátrica y en la planificación de las estrategias adaptadas y eficaces a su rehabilitación psicosocial.

Evaluating and understanding the resilience process of the health team in caring for people with mental disorders in a psychiatric hospital. ⋯ Participaram da pesquisa 40 profissionais de saúde. Na escala de resiliência, a média das respostas dos participantes foi 99,80±12,86 pontos, o mínimo foi de 35 e o máximo de 114 pontos. Nos dados qualitativos, destacaram-se o empenho dos profissionais para o desenvolvimento de competências para o cuidado de pessoas com transtornos mentais, a valorização do trabalho em equipe e o impacto positivo no trabalho para a ressignificação do sentido da vida. Conclusão: O entendimento desse processo de resiliência possibilita o desenvolvimento de estratégias para a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos trabalhadores que atuam em hospitais psiquiátricos.
