1) To describe the anatomy of the obturator canal and variations in placement of the obturator nerve, artery and vein and 2) To record the proximity of these structures to the optimal point of placement of the transobturator tape (TOT) trochar. ⋯ The anatomy of the obturator foramen is not consistent. The proximity of the obturator canal to the TOT trochar, the medially crossing obturator nerve, artery and vein and their branches, as well as their variable orientation in the canal should be considered when performing the transobturator tape procedure.

Ruptured superficial dorsal vein of the penis masquerading as a penile fracture: case report.
Acute onset of pain, swelling, and ecchymosis of the penis during sexual intercourse indicate a penile fracture until proven otherwise. However, there have been few case reports of isolated injuries to the dorsal penile artery or dorsal vein mimicking a penile fracture. Presented herein is a rare case of a patient who ruptured his superficial dorsal vein during intercourse.

We report a case of a 19-year-old female who presented with right flank pain and microscopic hematuria. Three years earlier, she sustained a stab wound to the right flank and was managed conservatively. After being diagnosed with an enhancing renal mass using computed tomography (CT) scan, duplex ultrasound and angiography were performed revealing an intrarenal pseudoaneurysm. Endovascular coils were successfully employed to selectively embolize the pseudoaneurysm.

Gunshot wounds to the bladder are not uncommon; however it is unusual that a bullet come to rest within the urinary bladder. Properly performed plain film cystography is trusted as a highly sensitive tool for identifying significant bladder injuries due to both blunt and penetrating trauma. Several reports suggest that cystography may be less sensitive in cases of gunshot wounds to the bladder. ⋯ Although reliable for the diagnosis of bladder perforation in most trauma settings, cystography may fail to diagnose a penetrating bladder injury due to a gunshot wound. High clinical suspicion based on bullet trajectory, history, and physical exam should guide the workup and treatment of such patients.

Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is widely utilized for treatment of localized and advanced prostate cancer (CaP). ADT is associated with increased rates of osteoporosis; however, its impact on fracture risk is not completely understood. We investigated incidence and predisposing factors for osteoporosis and fractures in a large, contemporary, single institution series of patients treated with ADT for CaP. ⋯ Patients receiving continuous ADT for CaP are at increased risk for developing osteoporosis which may lead to fractures, with an incidence of 7% in our study population.
