Long-term sensibility outcomes of secondary digital nerve reconstruction with sural nerve autografts: a retrospective study.
Recovery of sensibility after digital nerve injury is crucial for restoring normal hand function. We evaluated long-term outcomes of digital nerve reconstruction with autografts. ⋯ Our data indicate that earlier reconstruction is associated with a favorable outcome.

Neutrophil-derived long noncoding RNA IL-7R predicts development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in patients with trauma.
Overactive neutrophils are thought to be key drivers in the development of post-traumatic multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). Little is known about the role of inflammation-related lnc-IL7R in trauma. Thus, we aimed to explore the association between neutrophil-derived lnc-IL7R and post-traumatic MODS. ⋯ Neutrophil-derived lnc-IL7R is an independent predictor of post-traumatic MODS; therefore, it could be a useful predictive marker for MODS.

Long-term results of more than 13 years after arthroscopic repair of triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) Palmer 1B tears: a comparison with short- and mid-term results.
Goal of this study was the assessment of long-term outcome of arthroscopically assisted repair of Palmer 1B/Atzei 1 triangular fibrocartilage complex tears and the comparison with short- and mid-term results. ⋯ Arthroscopically assisted repair of Palmer 1B/Atzei 1 triangular fibrocartilage complex tears may be an efficacious and safe surgical technique for ulnar-sided TFCC tears in the long term.

The additional value of weight-bearing and gravity stress ankle radiographs in determining stability of isolated type B ankle fractures.
The aim of this study is to investigate whether weight-bearing and gravity stress radiographs have additional value in predicting concomitant deep deltoid ligamentous (DDL) injury in case of isolated Weber type B fibular fractures. This may help to make the clinically relevant distinction between unstable fractures and fractures that can be treated conservatively. ⋯ The gravity stress and weight-bearing radiograph can accurately exclude DDL injury. They might have extra value in addition to the conventional mortise view in assessing the stability of isolated type B ankle fractures. This helps in deciding whether patients should be selected for operative or safe conservative treatment.

Review Meta AnalysisCement augmentation of internal fixation for trochanteric fracture: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
This study aimed to determine the efficacy and safety of cement augmentation for internally fixed trochanteric fractures through a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). ⋯ Level 1.
