Controlled Clinical Trial[Postoperative analgesia in high amputation of the lower extremity].
A prospective controlled study was conducted in 48 patients with atherosclerotic gangrene in the postoperative period after above knee amputation. It showed the tension of the cardiovascular and sympathoadrenal systems in patients with atherosclerotic gangrene in the pre- and early postoperative periods. Continuous epidural infusion of a local anesthetic ensures effective pain relief throughout the early postoperative period.

Clinical Trial[Effect of analgesic sedation on the cytokine profile in victims with severe polytrauma].
The paper deals with the study of the impact of analgesic sedation on the parameters of spontaneous and induced production of cytokines and their plasma level in the severely traumatized. Posttraumatic analgesic sedation in victims with severe polytrauma has been found to alleviate the magnitude of a systemic inflammatory response, to reduce the plasma level of proinflammatory cytokines, and to maintain the spontaneous production of both pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines by monocytic and macrophageal cells and the induced production of both pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in the immunocytes.

Case Reports[Malignant hyperthermia--complication of general anesthesia in the clinic of maxillofacial surgery].
Malignant hyperthermia (MH) is a rare genetic disease that manifests itself more frequently in the use of general anesthetics that are triggers of MH and results in death when specific treatment is not performed. The authors have observed a case of MH during anesthesia at maxillofacial surgery. The patient could not be saved irrespective of the attempts being made.
