[European guidelines on education of anaesthesiologists and intensive care specialists: from theory to practice].
Domestic issues in education of future Anaesthesiologists and Intensive Care specialists are being discussed in the light of Guidelines of Committee for European Education in Anaesthesiology issued in 2008. Key factors impeding the effective education of young trainees are being analyzed, such as lack of normative regulations of the study process, insufficient financing and low motivation of the clinical personnel. With awareness of the need in profound structural changes and understanding of directions of upgrading the training process of Anaesthesiologists and Intensive Care specialists the main task is a practical implementation of those changes.

The purpose of this work is to estimate the efficacy and safety of balanced two-segmental spinal-epidural anaesthesia (SEA) as well as application of this technique in conditions of extended operative delivery. The method has been used in 69 pregnant patients aged 23-42 years, with gestation period ranging from 36 to 40 weeks. It was found out that SEA is highly effective and safe technique, therefore it can be recommended as suitable method of anaesthesia in surgery with an extension possibility.

[Psycho-emotional changes in women during delivery under the influence of opioid analgesics].
A study of psycho-emotional condition was carried out in 408 women during opioid analgesia in different delivery stages with estimation of the changes in reactive and personal anxiety and rank pain index (RPI). The obtained data suppose that analgetic effect of opioids is carried out especially through the sensor component of RPI. ⋯ The effect of medicamental analgetics on emotional component of pain perception in every stage of labour had it own features. This should be taken in account while practical work.
