[Failure analysis of proximal femoral nail antirotation in treatment of geriatric intertrochanteric fractures].
To analyze the failure factors of proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) in the treatment of geriatric intertrochanteric fractures. ⋯ The types of intertrochanteric fractures (especially unstable fractures), the integrity of the proximal lateral wall of femur, and the defect of the posteromedial cortex are the internal risk factors for the success or failure of PFNA in the treatment of geriatric intertrochanteric fractures. The effective protection of the lateral wall during operation and the good quality of fracture reduction are the external factors that must be paid attention to.

[Treatment of AO/OTA type 31-A3 intertrochanteric fracture with proximal femoral nail antirotation combined with mini plate reconstruction of lateral femoral wall].
To explore the effectiveness of proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) combined with mini plate for reconstruction of lateral femoral wall in the treatment of type AO/Orthopaedic Trauma Association (AO/OTA) type 31-A3 intertrochanteric fracture. ⋯ Compared with PFNA alone, the treatment of AO/OTA type 31-A3 intertrochanteric fracture with PFNA combined with mini plate reconstruction of lateral femoral wall can significantly reduce postoperative complications, promote fracture healing, and improve functional recovery of patients after operation.

[The migration of helical blade and the tip apex distance value in cephalomedullary nail for geriatric intertrochanteric fractures].
To investigate the association between the tip apex distance (TAD) and migration of helical blade in the femoral head of geriatric intertrochanteric fractures. ⋯ Reducing the TAD value of helical blade appropriately (15-20 mm) in PFNA internal fixation for intertrochanteric fracture patients over 80 years old can increase initial stability without increasing the risk of helical blade migration.

[Analysis of perioperative blood loss by fast track protocol in cephalomedullary nailing for geriatric intertrochanteric fractures].
To analyze the effectiveness of fast track protocol of geriatric intertrochanteric fracture on operative waiting time, operation time, perioperative blood loss, providing data support for clinical therapy. ⋯ Fast track can shorten the operative waiting time of geriatric intertrochanteric fracture, reduce the blood loss by fracture, total blood loss in perioperative period, and transfusion volume. Early operation is conducive to improve the anemia status of patients during perioperative period.
