[Effect of topical external administration of recombinant human epidermal growth factor on expression of epidermal growth factor receptor and its mRNA in scald wound of diabetes mellitus rat].
To investigate the effect of topical external administration of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) when controlling blood sugar on expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and EGFR mRNA of wound in diabetes mellitus (DM) combined with scald. ⋯ External application of rhEGF when controlling blood sugar can accelerate obviously the wound healing in DM combined with scald. After controlling blood sugar, external application of rhEGF can boost obviously the expressions of EGFR mRNA, EGFR, and the extending process of signal conduction.

[Experimental study on bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells seeded in chitosan-alginate scaffolds for repairing spinal cord injury].
To investigate tissue engineered spinal cord which was constructed of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) seeded on the chitosan-alginate scaffolds bridging the both stumps of hemi-transection spinal cord injury (SCI) in rats to repair the acute SCI. ⋯ The tissue engineered spinal cord constructed by multi-channel chitosan-alginate bioscaffolds and BMSCs would repair the acute SCI of rat. It would be widely applied as the matrix material in the future.

Comparative Study[Experimental study on porcine acellular dermal matrix and split-thickness skin grafts to repair full-thickness skin defects].
To compare the effect of the composite skin graft consisting of split-thickness skin grafts (STSGs) and porcine acellular dermal matrix (PADM) with STSGs only, and to histologically observe the turnover of the PADM in rats. ⋯ Coverage wound with composite skin which composed of STSGs and PADM could improve wound healing quality; the composite skin is thicker and better elastic than STSGs only. The collagen matrix of PADM is gradually replaced by rats' collagen matrix.

Comparative Study Controlled Clinical Trial[Comparative study on indirect decompression versus open decompression to vertebral canal in treating thoracolumbar burst fractures without neurologic deficit].
To compare the clinical effects of indirect decompression versus open decompression to vertebral canal in treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures without neurologic deficit. ⋯ The short-term results of two decompression styles in treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures without neurologic deficit were satisfactory, but indirect decompression has more merits than open decompression: shorter operative time, less blood loss, lower losing-rate of spinal correction, and better stabilization of vertebral column.
