Exploring patient safety culture in the community pharmacy setting: A national cross-sectional study.
The community pharmacy is one setting that plays a crucial role in patient safety. To develop tailored patient safety improvement programs in this setting, it is essential to know the perspectives of the pharmacies' staffs on patient safety. Thus, in this study, we assessed patient-safety culture in the community pharmacy setting in Saudi Arabia. ⋯ The study revealed that all dimensions are scope for further improvement, and critical consideration ought to be given to the areas of weakness, for the most part in the dimension of Staffing, Work Pressure, and Pace.

Differences in the age distribution of influenza B virus infection according to influenza B virus lineages in the Korean population.
Since the 2000s, two lineages of the influenza B virus (influenza B/Victoria and influenza B/Yamagata) have been co-circulating. Information on the age distribution of patients infected by each influenza B virus lineage may be helpful for establishing differentiated influenza prevention and control strategies for each age group. ⋯ The age distribution of patients infected by the influenza virus was different between the Yamagata and Victoria seasons. Different influenza prevention and control strategies should be considered on the basis of the predominantly circulating virus and the affected age group.

Case ReportsNon-surgical treatment for hematocele in the bladder associated with ascites puncture in a patient with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome: A case report.
Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a well-known complication induced by the application of LH or GnRH analogs in the process of assisted reproduction controlled ovarian stimulation (COS). Ascites puncture is one of the treatments for severe OHSS. In the vast majority of circumstances, transvaginal (TV) ascites puncture under B ultrasound guidance is safe; however, bladder injury is a rare complication that may occur during the puncture process. ⋯ Ultrasonographic examination revealed a 8.33 × 4.88 cm hematocele in the bladder; it was thought to have been caused by blood clot formation and concurrent urinary retention resulting from the puncture needle-induced bladder injury during TV puncture for ascites aspiration. The patient recovered with conservative treatment. Therefore, it is important to emphasize that avoidance of OHSS is necessary to avoid complications such as bladder damage from treatment of ascites.

Significance of serrated epithelial change in inflammatory bowel disease.
The clinical significance of hyperplastic polyp-like histologic changes in random biopsy samples ('serrated epithelial change' or SEC) from patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) remains uncertain, with some studies suggesting an increased risk of dysplasia and even carcinoma. Controlled studies are few. We studied the significance of SEC on the development of dysplasia in follow-up surveillance of IBD patients in our system. ⋯ Our data, in the context of other studies, neither prove nor conclusively exclude an increased risk of dysplasia in IBD patients with SEC. But cancer risk appears low and continued surveillance at usual intervals seems reasonable.

Experiences of breastfeeding among women residents in Alberta: a cross-sectional survey.
Breastfeeding at work is recommended by pediatric society guidelines and is protected by employment and human rights law in many countries. Despite this, previous studies have found that residents report important structural barriers to breastfeeding at work. ⋯ Women residents face barriers to breastfeeding at work which require systems-level intervention. Residents from surgical programs may be the most vulnerable to these barriers. Program directors, residency wellness committees, and hospital administrators should prioritize addressing these barriers for women residents returning to work after maternity leave. Examples of interventions that may address these barriers include policies, designation of lactation spaces, and flexible return-to-work schedules.
