Randomized Controlled Trial[The effect of early goal lactate clearance rate on the outcome of septic shock patients with severe pneumonia].
To observe the clinical effects of 10%, 30% lactate clearance rate and early goal-directed therapy (EGDT) as 6-hour resuscitation goals directing treatment in septic shock patients with severe pneumonia. ⋯ For the septic shock patients with severe pneumonia, prompt archiving EGDT strategy and 6-hour lactate clearance more than 30% were associated with an optimal outcome.

Controlled Clinical Trial[The clinical application and value of intra-aortic balloon pump in patients with septic shock].
To investigate the clinical efficacy and value of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) with vasoactive drugs for septic shock patients. ⋯ IABP in patients with septic shock significantly improved hemodynamics, increased coronary and systemic tissue perfusion, reduced cardiac afterload, elevated CI, reduced doses of vasoactive drugs, shortened length of ICU stay, improved prognosis, and lowered the mortality rate. IABP had important clinical value, and could be recommended as an additional treatment option in patients with septic shock in whom the effect of drug was poor.

Randomized Controlled Trial[The effects of joint administration of 6% hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 and high-volume hemofiltration on patients with acute lung injury and acute kidney injury].
To evaluate the effects of administration of 6% hydroxyethyl starch (6% HES 130/0.4, voluven) in combination with high volume hemofiltration (HVHF) in patients with ALI and AKI. ⋯ 6% HES 130/0.4 in combination with HVHF could improve the lung and kidney function of the patients with ALI and AKI, prevent the development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), therefore improve the survival rate of these patients.

[The effects of mild hypothermia on cardiac function and myocardial structure in a rabbits model of ventricular fibrillation after restoration of spontaneous circulation].
To examine the impact of mild hypothermia on cardiac function, myocardial tissue integrity, and 48 hours mortality in a rabbits model of ventricular fibrillation after restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). ⋯ Myocardial dysfunction and myocardium tissue injury both develop in post-resuscitation rabbits with ventricular fibrillation. In these animals, reducing body temperature to the level of mild hypothermia after ROSC may improve the 48 hours survival rate, probably via mechanisms that suppress myocardial cell apoptosis. In our study, such intervention produced no obvious negative impact neither on the cardiac function nor hemodynamics.

Randomized Controlled Trial[The impact of L-carnitine administration on the serum level of myocardium injury markers in patients with acute carbon monoxide poisoning].
To examine the serum level of myocardial injury markers in patients with carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, the correlation between these markers and the severity of the disease, and the therapeutic effects of L-carnitine administration. ⋯ The incidence of abnormal findings in serum myocardial injury markers was positively correlated with HbCO concentration after CO poisoning. L-carnitine may protect the myocardium and striated muscles against injury in patients with CO poisoning.
