[The influence of different asphyxia time on the reproduction of multiply organ dysfunction model after cardiopulmonary resuscitation following cardiac arrest in rabbit].
To explore the effects of different asphyxia time on the reproduction of multiply organ dysfunction syndrome in rabbit after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR-MODS) for cardiac arrest, in order to provide a method to reproduce an animal model of CPR-MODS for further research of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). ⋯ The model of cardiac arrest caused by 7 minutes asphyxia provided more possibility and feasibility for the subsequent study of reproducing CPR-MODS model.

Meta Analysis[Granulocyte-monocyte colony-stimulating factor for the treatment of sepsis: a meta analysis].
To systematically assess the effects and safety of granulocyte-monocyte colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) in the treatment of sepsis. ⋯ The current evidence shows that, compare with the conventional therapy the GM-CSF has the benefit of improving immune function, reducing the complications of infection, and shortening the duration of mechanical ventilation. However, there is no difference in reducing mortality and adverse event, or shortening the length of stay in hospital or ICU and SOFA score with the use of GM-CSF.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Clinical study on plasma soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 in patients with sepsis].
To observe the dynamic changes in plasma soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (sTREM-1), and to approach the effect on predicting outcome of the patient with sepsis combined with sepsis-related organ failure assessment (SOFA) score. ⋯ The plasma sTREM-1 concentration was elevated at the early stage in patients with sepsis. Dynamic changes in sTREM-1 level combined with SOFA score may be helpful in predicting outcome of the patient with sepsis.

The role of spleen in vagus nerve stimulation for treatment against septic shock in rats.
To investigate the role of spleen in vagus nerve stimulation for treatment against septic shock in rats and its underlying mechanism. ⋯ Vagus nerve stimulation fails to protect against septic shock in rats subjected to splenectomy or common celiac branch vagotomy, indicating that the spleen may be a vital target of the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway which is functionally linking with the spleen via the common celiac branch of vagus nerve.

[Expression of soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 in septic patients and its relation with prognosis].
To approach the relationship between the contents of soluble form of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (sTREM-1) and prognosis in patients with sepsis. ⋯ The serum sTREM-1 are elevated at early stage in sepsis patients. It can reflect the severity of the condition. The sTREM-1 level, which might be considered as a potential prognostic factor for septic patients, is significantly correlated with APACHEII score.
