Comparative Study[Influence of pulse indicator continuous cardiac output in monitoring on the volume parameters of different tidal volume under pressure control ventilation mode and volume-controlled ventilation mode in sheep].
To compare the influence of pulse indicator continuous cardiac output (PiCCO) in monitoring tidal volume (V(T)) under pressure control ventilation mode and volume-controlled ventilation mode in sheep. ⋯ When the cardiac function was normal, the increase in V(T) led to a decrease of CI and ITBVI, but it had no significant effects on CVP. There was no significant difference of CI and ITBVI in the two ventilation modes, both were decreased. So a relatively constant V(T) should be maintained in determining ITBVI.

[Eighteen cases of 2009 influenza A H1N1 associated with respiratory failure in adults].
To investigate the clinical feature, treatment and outcome of respiratory failure in patients with 2009 influenza A H1N1 infection in critically ill adults. ⋯ Severe acute respiratory distress syndrome is the most common manifestation in critically ill patients with 2009 influenza A H1N1 infection in adult. Failure to obtain satisfactory oxygenation with high-level ventilation settings within the first 7-days, onset of acute kidney injury and barotrauma, and continuous need for vasopressors portend a poor prognosis.

[The use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in sustaining pulmonary function patients with influenza A H1N1].
To summarize the clinical method and initial experience of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) supportive treatment in influenza A H1N1 serious patients. ⋯ Vein-vein mode ECMO bypass through femoral vein-internal jugular vein can offer effective aid to pulmonary function in influenza A H1N1 patients who are critically ill. The strategy can win time for the patients to be able to continue mechanical ventilation treatment.

[Clinical analysis of 75 patients with severe influenza A H1N1 in Qinghai Province].
To observe clinical features of severe influenza A H1N1 in Qinghai Province. ⋯ In Qinghai Province, cases with influenza A H1N1 peaked early with relative high incidence of severe cases. Patients suffering from influenza A H1N1 are susceptible to pulmonary complications. The condition of patients rapidly deteriorate, and they are prone to develop respiratory failure, disseminated intravascular coagulation and multiple organ failure.
