[Clinical value of monitoring CD14+ monocyte human leukocyte antigen (locus) DR levels in the early stage of sepsis].
To explore the relationship of monitoring CD14(+) monocyte human leucocyte antigen (locus) DR (HLA-DR) and the outcome in the early stage of sepsis. ⋯ CD14(+) monocyte HLA-DR level <30% is an immunosuppressive index. In predicting the outcome of sepsis, it might be better than APACHE II scores. Immunosuppression is primarily found in the early stage of sepsis, suggesting that the classical compensatory anti-inflammatory response syndrome (CARS) hypothesis needs to be revised and improved.

[Effect of treatment with Xuebijing injection on serum inflammatory mediators and Th1/2 of spleen in rats with sepsis].
To study the effect of treatment with Xuebijing injection on pro- or anti-inflammatory response and pathologic changes in immune organs in rats with sepsis. ⋯ There is a dissonance in immunological function in sepsis, showing a depression in specific immunological function, but an exaggeration in non-specific immunological function. Xuebijing can obviously ameliorate the immunological disturbance in sepsis of rat.

[Protective effects of Xuebijing injection on kidney in rats with sepsis].
To investigate the protective effects of the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine Xuebijing injection on the kidney in rats with sepsis. ⋯ Xuebijing injection possesses the protective effects on the kidney in rats with sepsis, which may be related with the synthesis and release of IL-6.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Comparative study on influence of enteral and parenteral nutrition on organ function in critically ill patients].
To evaluate the protective effect of enteral nutrition on organ function in critically ill patients. ⋯ Early stage enteral nutrition could well surpass total parenteral nutrition. It is conducive to protecting gastrointestinal function, preventing bacterial translocation, alleviating systemic inflammatory response and subsequent multiple organ failure among critically ill patients.

[Experimental study on gut tolerance to early enteral nutrition following intestinal ischemia/reperfusion].
To investigate the effects of early enteral nutrition (EEN) on intestinal function and gut tolerance after intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. ⋯ Intestinal I/R may result in decreased tolerance to EEN. Too early enteral nutrition (less than 12 hours after gut hypoperfusion) may enhance intestinal ischemia injury and further inhibit its function of propulsion and absorption.
