Historical ArticleMini-Invasive management of concomitant gallstones and common bile duct stones : where is the evidence ( Review article).
The ideal mini-invasive management of common bile duct stones (CBDS) with concomitant gallbladder stones is debatable. This article aims to review the management of this condition during the last decade using the mini-invasive approach. ⋯ One-stage or two-stages procedures are feasible and safe with equivalent efficacy. Surgeons must be aware of the different difficulties of these procedures and should be judicious in their use of different techniques.

Observational StudyEpidemiology of thromboembolic and hemorrhagic events in patients with atrial fibrillation under anti-vitamin K.
Atrial fibrillation is the most common heart rhythm disorder in the general population. It is associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Given this risk, anticoagulant therapy is vital. ⋯ Anticoagulant therapy with anti-vitamin-K remains the most adequate treatment. Thus, a well-conducted treatment ensures a reduction in thromboembolic risk and minimizes the occurrence of hemorrhages inherent to this therapy. Therefore, an assessment of the quality of anticoagulation is essential.

Outcome predictors of cardiogenic shock complicating ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.
Cardiogenic shock complicating ST elevation myocardial infarction is burdened by a high mortality. There is only limited evidence for the management except for early revascularization and the relative ineffectiveness of intra-aortic balloon pump. ⋯ Despite invasive management strategies, 30-day mortality of cardiogenic shock complicating ST elevation myocardial infarction remained as high as 58.2%. Immediate multivessel percutaneous coronary intervention was the only predictor of early mortality.

Historical ArticleBibliometry of biomedical scientific publications in Mauritania (Medline:1992-2016).
As part of the preparatory work for the elaboration of a strategic plan for the development of scientific research in Mauritania, an overview of national biomedical research was recommended by the supervisory authorities. ⋯ During the last past 25 year, the biomedical publication feature, inconsistently growing since 2012, has been characterizing by the adequacy of research themes with the population's health needs, an international visibility and an extensive networking with many foreign research structures. Strengthening Maghrebian collaboration in the fields of research training and Multi-centric research would be a fine support to the national dynamics of biomedical research.
