[Evaluation of the value of EBUS-TBNA in diagnosis of mediastinal lesions].
To evaluate the value of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in diagnosis of mediastinal lesions and to discuss its optimal indication. ⋯ EBUS-TBNA may be expected to replace the mediastinoscopy as a superior choice for diagnosis of mediastinal epithelial cancers. EBUS-TBNA can not replace mediastinoscopy but being a promising tool for diagnosis of benign mediastinal lesions including granulomas. For certain special diseases such as lymphoma, mediastinoscopy cannot be replaced. However, EBUS-TBNA can be a potentially favorite choice for early stage screening.

Comparative Study[Therapeutic efficacy of three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy for patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer].
To compare the treatment results of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) and conventional radiotherapy (2D) for patients with locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ The results of our study demonstrate that 3D-conformal radiotherapy improves the survival rate in patients with stage III NSCLC compared with that of 2D radiation therapy.

[Role of dysregulation of Bim in resistance of melanoma cells to endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced apoptosis].
To establish a model of ER stress-induced apoptosis with tunicamycin and to examine whether Bim is dysregulated and its potential role in resistance of melanoma cells to apoptosis under endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. ⋯ The lack of Bim up-regulation contributes to the resistance of melanoma cells to ER stress-induced apoptosis and may be a mechanism by which melanoma cells adapt to ER stress conditions. Transcription factors CHOP and Foxo1 may be responsible for the dysregulation of Bim in melanoma cells upon ER stress.

[Treatment outcomes and clinicopathologic characteristics of advanced triple-negative breast cancer patients].
To characterize the sites of distant recurrence and clinical outcomes in a cohort of Chinese patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). ⋯ Recurrence risk and mortality are considerably higher in TNBC patients within the early years of follow-up. TNBC patients have a higher risk of multiple and visceral metastases, and poorer survival, which might attribute to its aggressive clinical behavior and lack of effective regimens. Our findings also suggest that chemotherapy can effectively improve the clinical outcome of those patients.
