[Overcoming acquired resistance to tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand by Bcl-XL small interfering RNA in human colon cancer].
To investigate the reversing effect of Bcl-XL small interfering RNA (siRNA) on the acquired resistance to tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) in human colon cancer. ⋯ Bcl-XL siRNA can effectively reverse the acquired resistance to TRAIL in human colon cancer cells, suggesting that it might be a new strategy for overcoming the resistance in cancer therapy.

Multicenter Study Clinical Trial[Irinotecan plus fuorouracil/leucovorin (FOLFIRI) as a second line chemotherapy for refractory or metastatic colorectal cancer].
Irinotecan (CPT-11), a specific inhibitor of topoisomerase I, has been proven to be effective in the treatment of refractory or metastatic colorectal cancer. Furthermore, several first line phase III trials of the combination therapy (FOLFIRI) using CPT-11 and fuorouracil/leucovorin (5-Fu/LV) were reported to have significant improvement in treatment result. Therefore, we designed a multicenter clinical study to observe the overall survival (OS), time to death (TTD), time to progression (TTP), efficacy and safety of FOLFIRI regimen for patients with refractory or metastatic colorectal cancer after first line chemotherapy failure. ⋯ The regimen of irinotecan plus fuorouracil/leucovorin (FOLFIRI) is effective and well-tolerated as a second-line chemotherapy and may prolong the overall survival for the patient with refractory or metastatic colorectal cancer.

[Inhibitory effect of Oridonin injection on heterotransplanted gastric adenocarcinoma in nude mice and its mechanism].
To investigate the inhibitory effect of Oridonin injection on heterotransplanted tumors of human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line BGC823 cells in nude mice and explore its mechanism. ⋯ Oridonin can markedly inhibit the growth of heterotransplanted human gastric adenocarcinoma in nude mice. It was due, at least in part, to the induction of apoptosis in cancer cells.

[Analysis of prognostic factors in 1826 patients with completely resected non-small cell lung cancer].
To analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of completely resected nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and to assess the impact of vascular invasion and TNM stage on prognosis. ⋯ Our results show that TNM stage and vascular invasion are significant prognostic factors in nonsmall cell lung cancer. Vascular invasion can not only serve as an independent prognostic factor, but can also predict the possibility of metastasis.
