Multicenter Study[Transdermal fentanyl for the management of cancer pain: a survey of 4492 patients].
To evaluate the efficacy and adverse effects of transdermal fentanyl in management of patients with cancer pain. ⋯ Transdermal fentanyl for the patients with cancer pain is effective, safe, convenient and can improve the quality of life. Transdermal fentanyl can be recommended as one of first-line drugs for the treatment of patients with moderate to severe cancer pain.

[Value of imaging in the diagnosis of primary malignant fibrous histiocytoma of bone].
To investigate the imaging feature of primary malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the bone (PBMFH) by the conventional radiography, CT and MRI, and to evaluate these different imaging methods in its diagnosis. ⋯ Primary malignant bone fibrous histiocytoma, a rare primary malignant bone tumor, is most frequently located in the long bone. Conventional radiography is still the first and main choice and is taken as an essential means of diagnosis. CT and MRI are quite important in demonstrating the details and extent of the disease such as soft tissue, cortical destruction, periosteal reaction, calcification and necrosis. The imaging characteristics may be of value in differentiating MFH from the other malignant bone tumors. Furthermore, MRI may also be valuable in assessing the efficacy of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy, as well as in distinguishing recurrence from postoperative or post-radiation changes.

[Correlation between magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging and cell density in astrocytoma].
To evaluate the apparent diffusion coefficients (ADC) in magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging with echo-planar technique in depicting the tumor cellularity and grading of astrocytoma. ⋯ ADC value of astrocytoma is significantly and negatively correlated with its cellularity. Magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging may well be highly potential in predicting the degree of astrocytoma.

[Mediastinal lymph nodes micro-metastases in patients with clinical stage I-II lung cancer].
To investigate micro-metastasis in mediastinal lymph nodes (mLN) of patients with clinical stage I approximately II lung cancer and its clinical significance. ⋯ IHC staining with a monoclonal antibody specific for epithelial cells (Ber-Ep4) is more sensitive in the detection of mediastinal micro-metastais than routine HE staining. Underestimation of the extent of mLN metastasis by cTNM and/or pTNM stagings frequently exists in patients with clinically early lung cancer.

[Inhibitory effect of ginsenoside-Rg3 on lung metastasis of mouse melanoma transfected with ribonuclease inhibitor].
To investigate the effect of ginsenoside-Rg3 on lung metastasis of ribonuclease inhibitor (RI) gene-transfected mouse B16 melanoma. ⋯ Transfection of ribonuclease inhibitor gene significantly reduces the metastatic potential of B16 melanoma. Ginsenoside-Rg3 has a synergistic effect.
