Comparative Study[Ultrastructural changes in the hepatic mast and plasma cells of pregnant rats with endotoxic shock].
Ultrastructural alterations in mast and plasma cells of pregnant rat liver were studied in the initial period of endotoxin shock. A significant increase in functional activity of mast and plasma cells and the presence of intercellular contacts and contacts with cells of perisinusoidal space were found. The data obtained suggest that endotoxin stimulates connective tissue cells, leading to the release of mediators and biologically active substances responsible for hepatic injury during endotoxemia.

Comparative Study[Histomorphologic assessment of the effectiveness of anesthesia during tooth preparation].
The efficacy of conduction anesthesia with 2% solutions of novocain, celnovocain, trimecain, lidocain during the preparation of teeth for metal crowns was studied in experiments on 16 dogs by neurohistological and histochemical examination of the Gasserian and superior cervical ganglions, the nodose ganglion, teeth and pericoronal tissues. It was established that in terms of the degree of anesthesia efficacy increase, the test anesthetics can be arranged as follows: novocain, celnovocain, trimecain, lidocain.

Comparative Study[Biosynthesis of embryonic prealbumin by cultured human fibroblasts].
Embryonic prealbumin (EPA) was found in human cultured fibroblasts by means of immunodiffusion and immunofluorescence. No quantitative or qualitative differences in the content and localization of this antigen were revealed in embryonic and adult fibroblasts. A conclusion has been made that EPA is the product of human cultured fibroblasts and can be used as a marker of this type of cells.

[Non-uniformity of the ventilation-perfusion ratio in the lungs, and arterial hypoxemia].
The general analysis of the relationships between the extent of nonuniformity of ventilation-perfusion ratios and blood flow through poorly ventilated protions of the lungs on the one hand and arterial hypoxemia on the other one has been performed. Quantitative evidence on the onset of arterial hypoxemia in disturbances of ventilation-perfusion ratios are obtained.

Comparative Study[Experimental studies of parmidin (pyridinolcarbamate) effect on microvascular permeability of the lungs, skin and mesentery].
The effect of parmidin (pyridinolcarbamate) on microvascular permeability of several organs has been studied on experimental mice and rats using different models of increased vascular permeability, returned to normal by the drug due to its antibradykinine properties. The experimental results correlate with the clinical data on parmidin applied in therapy of a number of diseases associated with abnormal microcirculation.
