[Establishment of national naval hospitals in the XVIII century].
The first naval hospitals were established in St. Petersburg, Revel and Kronstadt, Kazan, Revel, Astrakhan and Archangel. The question when the first hospitals were opened is still controversial because of the lack of many documents of those years. ⋯ Regardless of whether you will find unequivocal, direct evidence for their discoveries in a given year, the value of the old hospital as medical institutions will not change. Much more important is the fact of their education because of intense activity of the domestic fleet. In the creation of naval hospitals as in anything else to take care of the state of preservation, strengthening and restoring the health of personnel, of which largely depended on the readiness of the fleet.

[Branch N 6 of GVKG n. a. N.N. Burdenko celebrates 90th anniversary].
This article is devoted to the 90th anniversary of one of the largest military clinics, now--the branch N 6 of the Main Military Clinical Hospital n.a N. N. Burdenko. ⋯ Polyclinic every day takes up to 2000 people, more than 60 thousand patients from the military, retirees of the Ministry of Defence and family members, civilian personnel of the Armed Forces, more than 250 thousand people in this category is on the advisory medical support are attached to health care. Admission of patients carry more than 280 physicians 62 specialties, they are helped more than 380 experienced nurses. Expanded and equipped with modern medical equipment 119 therapeutic and diagnostic departments and offices.

The deaths happened as a result of wounds caused by non-lethal weapon (NLW) are mainly associated with severe and extremely severe damage of brain. However, vast number of specific problems occurs in cases of extracranial gunshot wounds caused by NLW. Taking into account little physicians' experience, and absence of standard approaches to treatment of these wounds till now. ⋯ Our investigation allowed to draw a conclusion that gunshot wounds caused by NLW have similar characteristics. These ones are the same with signs of wounds caused by small arms. Surgical treatment of wounds caused by NLW is based on the standard approaches to treatment of low-velocity missile wounds.

The problem of temporary hemorrhage control is one of the most important issues of modern war surgery and surgery of trauma. It is a review of literature devoted to prehospital care in extremity major vascular injuries, embraced up-to-date domestic materials as well as the modern foreign papers in this area. The most important historical landmarks of temporary hemorrhage control system are considered. ⋯ S. Army has done. The experience of foreign colleagues in development of prehospital care for the injured, creation and progress of new haemostatic methods, application of temporary hemorrhage control system is analyzed.

The article describes the experience of using of mobile medical units for medical support of combat operations in the armed conflicts in the North Caucasus. The factors affecting the operation of medical services in local wars and armed conflicts are analyzed. Suggestions for the optimization of organizational structure and principles of the use of mobile units service Emergency Medicine are formulated.
