[Effects of Caulis Sargentodoxae Granule on expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor and its receptor-2 in rats with endometriosis].
To investigate the effects of Caulis Sargentodoxae Granule (CSG), a compound traditional Chinese herbal medicine for treating endometriosis, on expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptor-2 fetal liver kinase-1 (Flk-1) in rats with endometriosis. ⋯ CSG can treat the endometriosis in rats, and its action may be associated with decreasing the expressions of VEGF and its receptor Flk-1 in ectopic endometrium.

Review Meta Analysis[Aidi Injection as an adjunct therapy for non-small cell lung cancer: a systematic review].
To assess methodological quality of clinical studies using Aidi Injection as an adjunct therapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and to evaluate the effects of Aidi Injection. ⋯ The results of meta-analysis indicate that Aidi Injection may have adjuvant therapeutic effects in treatment of NSCLC patients, but the sample size is too small and with poor quality, and the existence of publication bias is found. The effects of Aidi Injection need to be confirmed by large multicenter randomized controlled trials.

[Dose-response patterns of Radix Glycyrrhizae in Shanghan Lun].
In order to explore the dose-response patterns of Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) in Shanghan Lun (Treatise on Febrile Diseases), all prescriptions containing Gancao in Shanghan Lun were analyzed by frequency and hierarchical clustering analysis. The doses of Gancao used in Shanghan Lun ranged from six zhu (Chinese unit, and one zhu is equal to 0.65 g) to four liang (Chinese unit, and one liang is equal to 15.625 g). Doses of one, two, three or four liang were commonly used. ⋯ Four liang Gancao was matched with Ganjiang or tonifying herbs for invigorating vital qi and relieving spasm in deficiency syndromes with contraction, palpitation or diarrhea. Gancao is used for treating many syndromes in Shanghan Lun. It is frequently used to treat excess or heat syndromes with one or two liang in a dose and deficiency or cold syndromes with three or four liang in a dose.

Review Meta Analysis[Tanreqing Injection for community-acquired pneumonia: a systematic review of randomized evidence].
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Tanreqing Injection, a compound traditional Chinese herbal medicine, for community-acquired pneumonia. ⋯ The effect of combined therapy with Tanreqing Injection plus antibiotics and basic therapy is better than that of antibiotics plus basic therapy. Tanreqing Injection can improve the symptoms of cough and expectoration, shorten the fever time and facilitate the absorption of chest X-ray shadow, without any significant adverse reactions. However, further high-quality trials are needed.
