[Importance of enteral nutrition support in necrotic hemorrhagic pancreatitis].
A clinical retrospec tive study was carried out on a series of 68 cases with acute pancreatitis, admitted in the General Surgery Department, Suceava County Hospital, between 2006-2009. ⋯ The EN support should be the preferred way of nutrition support in patients with acute pancreatitis, because it is associated with a lower incidence of infection and a reduced hospitalization.

[Sudden death and ventricular arrhythmias risk stratification after myocardial infarction].
Fifty percent of deaths associated with acute myocardial infarction are attributable to ventricular arrhythmias and sudden death. Lethal ventricular arrhythmias are caused by an interplay between three basic components: substrate (such as presence of potential reentry circuits within the infarct area), trigger (such as premature ventricular contractions), and modulating factors (such as ischemia, dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system and impaired left ventricular function). Noninvasive techniques, including baroreflex sensitivity, heart rate variability, heart rate turbulence, QT dispersion, T-wave alternant, Signal-Averaged Electrocardiography, exercise testing and ejection fraction can be useful for predicting the patients at risk for sudden death.

[Clinical statistical study on puerperal sepsis risk factors].
The aim of this study was to assess some risk factors involved in puerperal sepsis, such as: cesarean delivery, diabetes mellitus, preterm delivery and obesity, history of infections and anemia. The authors highlighted that new prevention methods and techniques could reduce the incidence and severity of post-cesarean puerperal sepsis (uterine infarction, peritonitis, toxic shock syndrome with Group A streptococcus).

Nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage is a neurosurgical emergency characterized by the extravasation of blood into the spaces covering the central nervous system that are filled with cerebrospinal fluid. The leading cause of nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage is rupture of an intracranial aneurysm, which accounts for about 80 percent of cases and has a high rate of death and complications. ⋯ This change is mostly due to the demonstration of the superiority of early diagnosis, surgical clipping or endovascular embolization of ruptured aneurysms. This superiority derives from the relative safety of early aneurysm occlusion and the major threat of early rebleeding (approximately 25% in three weeks after SAH).

[Clinico-epidemiological assesments for establishing the relationship between alcohol consumption and gastritis. Observations in Dorohoi area, Botosani county].
There are some controverces regarding alcohol intake and gastritis. ⋯ Chronic alcohol consumtion induce the apparition of gastritis, in correlation with the consumption, ritmicity and alcohol amount.
