[Epidemiological profile of patients with COVID-19 admitted to a tertiary care public hospital].
The knowledge about the epidemiological profile of patients admitted to the hospital for severe COVID infection, allows an adequate health care planning and resource allocation. ⋯ Mortality associated with COVID-19 in this hospital was similar to the rates reported abroad. Local risk predictors for this infection should be identified.

[Living-donor kidney graft ex vivo endoscopic nephrolithotomy with flexible instrument].
The finding of an asymptomatic stone in the study of a living kidney donor does not necessarily contraindicate donation, however, there is no consensus on the management of these cases. The use of a graft with lithiasis may represent a risk of recurrence in the remaining kidney in the donor and eventual obstructive complications in the transplanted kidney. The objective of this work is to present the usefulness of ureteroscopy (URS) to resolve lithiasis ex vivo before transplantation. ⋯ In this experience, the URS of the donor kidney was a feasible procedure and was not associated with adverse consequences for the graft. The main advantage of this procedure is to avoid the potential risk to the recipient of an obstructive graft complication.

Case Reports[Intracranial hypertension syndrome as an unusual manifestation of Sjögren's syndrome. Report of one case].
Neurological manifestations such as polyneuropathy are reported in 8-49% of cases with Sjögren's Syndrome (SjS), but central nervous system involvement is seldom described. We report a 46-year-old woman with a history of SjS with distal renal tubular acidosis and autoimmune thyroiditis. She consulted in the emergency room for a five-days history of holocranial headache and explosive vomiting. ⋯ Brain AngioCT ruled out thrombosis, and brain magnetic resonance (MRI) was without structural alterations or hydrocephalus. Lumbar puncture had increased cerebrospinal fluid output pressure but without cytochemical alterations, and negative gram, cultures and filmarray. The diagnosis of Intracranial Hypertension Syndrome (ICHTS) ofprobable autoimmune etiology in the context of SjS was proposed, and management with high-dose corticosteroids was initiated with favorable clinical and imaging response.

Observational Study[Medical students and graduates' perceptions of preparation to face a patient's death].
Historically, death has been socially accepted, but for the last decades it has been hidden in hospitals, transforming physicians into "death specialists". Thus, medical graduates should feel prepared to assume this responsibility accompanying the patient and their family through the process. With this in consideration, the present work explores students' and graduates' perceptions of preparation to face a patient's death (SPEM) in a Chilean Medical school and identifies SPEM-associated characteristics. ⋯ During the first two years of their profession, 71% of graduates faced a patient's death. There was a significant correlation between the SPEM and death-facing training. Considering these results and the previous evidence of the positive impact that classes and courses have on SPEM, it is suggested that an obligatory course should be added to improve SPEM in medical students.
