To investigate the expression of fms-like tyrosine kinase receptor 1 (Flt-1) in placentas of pre-eclampsia. ⋯ Increased Flt-1 expression in pre-eclamptic placenta may be involved in pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia.

[Exploration of the classification of polycystic ovarian syndrome].
To investigate the clinical presentation, hormonal profile and metabolic abnormalities in subgroups of women with PCOS and explore a reasonable classification for PCOS. ⋯ The classification according to the revised 2003 consensus on diagnosis reflects the basic characteristics of PCOS; while the classification based on obesity shows the severity of hyperandrogenism and degree of IR, and thus has substantial significance for evaluation of metabolic complications.

[Effects of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system on pain and recurrence associated with endometriosis and adenomyosis].
To observe the effects of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) in treatment of pain associated with endometriosis (EM) and adenomyosis (AM), and in prevention of disease recurrence. ⋯ LNG-IUS greatly reduces pain associated with EM and AM, and delays disease recurrence. Irregular bleeding and spotting is the main side effects. Administration of GnRHa in advance does not improve the bleeding symptoms.

[Proteomic analysis of human ovarian cancer cell lines and their platinum-resistant clones].
To perform comparative proteomic analysis of human ovarian cancer cell lines for detecting platinum-resistance associated proteins. ⋯ Proteomic techniques are useful to the identification of the resistance-associated proteins in ovarian cancer platinum-resistant cell lines and five candidates have been found. The five differential proteins might become hopeful candidate biomarkers for resistance.

[Expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha, vascular endothelial growth factor and sFlt-1 in preeclampsia placenta].
To investigate the expression and correlation of hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha (HIF-1alpha), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and sFlt-1 in the preeclampsia placenta, and discuss their significance in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. ⋯ Abnormal high HIF-1alpha expression in preeclampsia placenta indicates that HIF-1alpha might play an important role in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia, possibly through affecting the cytotrophoblastic invasion and placental vascular reconstruction via the modulation of VEGF and sFlt-1 gene transcription.
