[Clinicopathologic and survival analysis of synchronous primary endometrial and ovarian cancer].
Objective: To demonstrate the clinicopathological characteristics and determine the prognostic factors for women with synchronous primary endometrial and ovarian cancer (SEOC). Methods: A retrospective analysis of 63 pathologically proven cases of SEOC diagnosed in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2000 to May 2018 was carried out. Results: (1) Clinical features: mean age at diagnosis was (48.3±10.0) years, and the mean body mass index (BMI) was (23.4±3.7) kg/m(2). ⋯ In addition, LVSI and stage of ovarian cancer above stage Ⅰ were also associated with significantly worse OS (P<0.05). Conclusions: Women with SEOC are young, premenopausal and have a favorable overall prognosis. Presence of LVSI, non-endometrioid type ovarian cancer and stage of ovarian cancer above stage Ⅰ are independent prognostic factors for PFS, and stage of ovarian cancer above stage Ⅰare independent prognostic factors for OS.

[Application of cervical lifting suture in hemostasis of placenta previa with increta and percreta].
Objective: To evaluate the effect of cervical lifting suture in treatment of placenta previa with increta and percreta. Methods: From January 2016 to June 2017, 65 cases (0.78%, 65/8 322) were diagnosed placenta previa with increta and percreta by prenatal ultrasonic score system and confirmed by intraoperative findings in the department of obstetrics and gynecology of Peking University Third Hospital. Totally 62 cases (0.75%, 62/8 322) were included, because 3 cases underwent hysterectomy with placenta in situ. ⋯ In 8 cases for hysterectomy (12.9%,8/62) , 3 cases in score 5-9 group, 5 cases in score≥10 group. (3) In score≥10 group, the rate of postoperative ICU registration was 80% and mean hospitalization time was (6.3±1.7) days, were significantly different, compared with those in score 5-9 group, which were 26%, (4.9±1.9) days. No serious postpartum complications were found in both groups, and there were no significant differences in Apgar score and weight of newborns (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Cervical lifting suture in placenta previa with increta and percreta could significantly reduce postpartum hemorrhage and retain uterine.

[Application of uterine lower part breakwater-like suture operation in placenta previa].
Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of uterine lower posterior wall breakwater-like suture technique in controlling the intraoperative bleeding of placenta previa. Methods: From June 2016 to June 2017, 47 patients were diagnosed placenta previa in Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Posterior wall breakwater-like suture technique was used preferentially, as for cases with poor myometrium layer, lower anterior wall stitch suture was used at the same time. ⋯ Conclusions: Uterine posterior wall breakwater-like suture technique is a simple, safe and effective way in controlling intraoperative bleeding of placental previa. Lower anterior wall stitch suture could effectively stop bleeding and restore the normal uterine shape. Combined application of various methods could significantly reduce the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage and hysterectomy, and improve maternal and fetal prognosis.

[Clinical outcome of therapeutic cervical cerclage in short cervix syndrome].
Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of therapeutic cervical cerclage on short cervix syndrome for anti-premature birth in the second trimester. Methods: Totally 44 singleton pregnant patients were diagnosed as short cervix syndrome, which was cervical length ≤2.5 cm without cervical dilatation, and received treatment from January 2008 and July 2015 in Peking University Third Hospital were collected. Among them, 30 patients who received therapeutic cervical cerclage were defined as cerclage group and another 14 cases who received conservative treatment were defined as un-cerclage group. ⋯ There was no significant difference in accumulated delivery rate between the two groups after 32 weeks, 34 weeks, and 37 weeks, respectively (all P>0.05). Conclusions: The treatment of cervical cerclage is not superior to conservative means in single pregnancy of cervical length ≤2.5 cm without cervical dilatation. For such patients with short cervix syndrome, the treatment of cervical cerclage may not be necessary, but dynamic monitoring and search for the causing factors and prompt treatment are more important.

[Relationship between the risk of emergency cesarean section for nullipara with the prepregnancy body mass index or gestational weight gain].
Objective: To investigate the risk of emergency cesarean section during labor with the pre-pregnancy body mass index or gestational weight gain. Methods: A total of 6 908 healthy nullipara with singleton pregnancy and cephalic presentation who was in term labor in Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from August 1(st), 2014 to September 30(th), 2015 were recruited. They were divided into two groups, the vaginal delivery group (92.88%, 6 416/6 908) and the emergency cesarean section group (7.12%, 492/6 908). ⋯ The prepregnancy BMI is supposed to be an appropriate level. Absolute value of gestational weight gain is associated with increased risk of emergency cesarean section. There is no correlation between the excessive GWG and the risk of emergency cesarean section.
