[Multifascicular intramedullary nailing of the forearm].
Purpose of the study was to present the advantages of intramedullary nailing of long bones for treatment of fractures of the forearm. These advantages are 1) preserving the fracture-hematoma and 2) non exposure of bone. This technique is based on the technique of bundle nailing developed by Hackethal (1959). ⋯ In conclusion with our confined spectrum of indications Hackenthal nailing is a low-risk method, which leads to rotational stability and early bone healing.

[Outcome of hip shelf arthroplasty in adults after a minimum of 15 years of follow-up. Long term results and analysis of failures of 56 dysplastic hips].
The goal of this study was to evaluate late results of hip shelf arthroplasty in adults after a minimum of 15 years follow-up. ⋯ In spite of a high revision rate we recommend shelf athroplasty to treat acetabular dysplasia in adults. This procedure, very reliable in cases of moderate arthrosis, could be performed in cases of severe arthrosis to delay and make easier THR, but a low survival rate could be expected unless dysplasia, lack of congruency and subluxation were mild.

[Treatment of Morton neuroma by neurectomy. Apropos of 43 cases].
Morton's neuroma is a frequent cause of metatarsalgia. Its diagnosis is clinical but progress in medical imaging: ultrasound, evoked potentials and above all MRI allows an improvement of para-clinical diagnosis. ⋯ Morton's neuroma is located essentially in the third interdigital space. Neurectomy is a simple operation that often leads to recovery.

Classicaly Lisfranc fractures dislocations are unusual. Our study is based on 69 observations from January 1974 to January 1992. ⋯ The retrospective study of the series teaches us to reduce the tarsometatarsal fractures dislocations even if the displacement is minimal and to fix them. We must make a wider place to the immediate arthrodesis reposition.

Case Reports[Femoral head necrosis after intramedullary nailing of the femur in adults].
An avascular necrosis of the femoral head occurred after intra-medullary nailing of a femoral diaphyseal fracture. This complication may be related to the posterior situation of the proximal insertion hole just posterior to the trochanteric notch and piriformis fossa as demonstrated by the CT scan. This situation of the nail may cause injury to posterior branch of the circonflex artery at the time of rod insertion. Even if it appears exceptional in adult patients with intra-medullary nailing, this potential complication and the anatomy of the superior extremity of the femur should be known.
