[To evaluate the clinicopathologic characteristics and outcome of tumor cells spreading through air spaces in patients with adenocarcinoma of lung].
Objective: To investigate the clinicopathologic features, molecular characteristics and prognosis of spread through air space (STAS) in patients with adenocarcinoma of the lung. Methods: Two hundred and eighty-eight lung adenocarcinoma patients with complete clinicopathologic and follow-up data were included. The patients were divided into STAS positive (178 cases) and negative (110 cases) groups. ⋯ Multivariate analysis confirmed that STAS was an independent predictor of PFS in lung adenocarcinoma patients (HR: 2.749, 95%CI: 1.550-4.876, P=0.001). Conclusions: The presence of STAS in lung adenocarcinoma suggests high risk of recurrence and invasion and is thus an important prognostic factor. In addition, STAS is associated with EGFR mutation, ALK and ROS1 gene rearrangement.

[Expression of PD-1/PD-L1 in triple-negative breast carcinoma and its significance].
Objective: To investigate the correlation between the expression of PD-1, PD-L1 and clinicopathologic parameters in triple negative breast carcinoma (TNBC). Methods: Samples from 151 patients with TNBC and 65 cases of other breast carcinomas (non-TNBC) were examined for PD-L1 and PD-1 expression by immunohistochemical staining on tissue microarray. Results: The expression of PD-L1 and PD-1 in the tumor cells and interstitial lymphocytes in TNBC was significantly (P<0.05)higher than that in non-TNBC. ⋯ The former was positively correlated with tumor histological grade and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05), and the latter only with tumor histological grade (P<0.05). The expression rate of PD-1 was 27.2% (41/151), and correlated with PD-L1 expression in stromal tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (P<0.05). Conclusion: The expression of PD-L1 in TNBC is significantly correlated with high-grade histology, lymph node metastasis and PD-L1 expression in stromal tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes.

[Clinicopathologic study of pediatric vascular anomalies: a report of 117 cases].
To study the clinicopathologic features of pediatric vascular anomalies and application of ISSVA classification. ⋯ Vascular anomalies affecting infants and children include tumors and malformations. Accurate histopathologic diagnosis and ISSVA classification of the various types of vascular anomalies play an important role in clinical management.

[Correlation of clinicopathologic features and driver gene mutation in non-small cell lung cancer].
To study the relationship between mutations of well-known driver genes and clinicopathologic characteristics of non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC). ⋯ The relationship between mutations of well-known driver genes and clinicopathological characteristics in patients with NSCLC has diversity, the rate of mutations is higher in non-smoking female patients with adenocarcinoma.

[Diagnostic value of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration combined with Surepath liquid-based cytology test for lung lesions and mediastinal lymphadenopathy].
To explore the diagnostic value of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) combined with Surepath liquid-based cytology test for lung and mediastinal lymphadenopathy. ⋯ EBUS-TBNA is a good method to diagnose lung and mediastinal lymphadenopathy. Surepath liquid based cytology test could improve the sample satisfactory rate, the diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy. If combined with immunocytochemistry it could be useful for further tumor typing. EBUS-TBNA combined with Surepath liquid based preparation is an effective complement for the histologic biopsy.
