A 71-year-old man had pollakisuria, macrohematuria and sense of urinary retention. His urethrogram showed a giant bladder stone with a small urethral stone. ⋯ The giant bladder stone was removed. It weighed 310 g and is the 32nd reported in Japan.

Two cases of traumatic testicular luxation are described. Patients were a 21 year-old man and a 19 year-old man who were involved in a traffic accident. ⋯ Surgical replacement of the testis, which was dislocated at the right inguinal region, was successfully carried out in both cases. These cases are the 57th and 58th cases of traumatic testicular luxation reported in the Japanese literature.

[A case of emphysematous pyelonephritis with disseminated intravascular coagulation].
A case of emphysematous pyelonephritis with disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is presented. A 54-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of unclear consciousness and extremely high blood glucose level. ⋯ Right nephrectomy was performed after the improvement of the patient's condition by the echo-guided drainage of the right kidney and the treatment for infection, DM and DIC. We reviewed 71 cases of emphysematous pyelonephritis in the Japanese literature and the choice of treatment was discussed.

Emphysematous cystitis is a rare but interesting disease. A case is reported of cystitis emphysema with acute pyelonephritis and uncontrolled diabetes. The patient was a 54-year-old woman complaining of gross hematuria and fever. ⋯ Radiography showed the gas around the bladder. The patient was administered antibiotics, then symptoms was improved. We reviewed 12 cases of emphysematous cystitis reported in Japan and summarized the pathophysiologic features of this entity.

[Renocolic fistula caused by xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis: a case report].
Renocolic fistulas caused by typical xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis are rare. We present a case of renocolic fistula caused by xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis. A 58-year-old woman was admitted to the Department of Urology, Sakata City Hospital, with the chief complaint of pain in the left flank region. ⋯ The pelvicaliceal system of the resected kidney was distended and contained yellow fatty like tissue. Histologically xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis was confirmed. The patient made an uneventful recovery.
