[Influence of patellofemoral joint degeneration on outcome of medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty].
Objective: To evaluate the influence of patellofemoral joint degeneration and pre-operative pain location on the outcome of medial Oxford unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA). Methods: A total of 58 patients (58 knees) with medial Oxford UKA had been performed for medial osteoarthritis from March 2013 to July 2014 in Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at First Teaching Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were retrospective reviewed. There were 24 males and 34 females, the age from 43 to 87 years with the mean age was 68.5 years. ⋯ According to Outerbridge scoring system, there were no statistically differences in patients in patellofemoral joint degeneration group and normal group. Conclusions: There is a good evidence that neither mild to moderate degree of patellofemoral joint degeneration nor pre-operative pain location will compromise the short-term outcome of medial Oxford UKA, and should not be considered as contraindications. The situation is less clear for lateral patellofemoral degeneration, and more cautious option is advised.

[Clinical useness of multimodal techniques in microsurgical resection of cerebral arteriovenous malformation].
Objective: To explore the clinical useness of intraoperative functional neuronavigation and fluorescent indocyanine green(ICG) angiography as well as electrophysiological evaluation during microsurgical resection of cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVM). Methods: A series of 42 consecutive cases with AVM underwent microsurgery by intraoperative functional neuronavigation at Department of Neurosurgery of People's Liberation Army General Hospital from January 2009 to February 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. Of the 42 patients, 29 were males and 13 were females aging from 4 to 62 years (mean age 32.6 years). ⋯ Feeders were visualized in 10 patients and drainers were visualized in 9 cases. The post-surgical follow-up period varied from 3 months to 70 months (mean 22.5 months). 83.8% of the patients returned to normal work and life during the followed-up period. Conclusion: Combining intraoperative neuronavigation and electrophysiological monitoring, as well as fluorescent ICG angiography contribute to microsurgical resection of cerebral AVM effectively in selecting suitable patients, further avoiding neurologic compromise as well.

[Clinical study on the relationship between pancreatic fistula and the degree of pancreatic fibrosis after pancreatic and duodenal resection].
Objective: To explore the risk factors of pancreatic fistula after pancreatoduodenectomy and its relationship with pancreatic fibrosis. Methods: Retrospective analysis was made including 408 patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy from January 2013 to December 2015 in Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Third Military Medical University. There were 274 males and females, aging from 14 to 82 years with an average age of 54.6 years. ⋯ Both of them were moderate predictive value for pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy. Conclusions: The degree of pancreatic fibrosis is a prognostic factor for pancreatic texture and pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy. CT value of pancreatic body can be used as a quantitative index of pancreatic fibrosis, and predict the prognostic of pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy.

[Clinical outcomes of single-level lumbar spondylolisthesis by minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion with bilateral tubular channels].
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS-TLIF) for single-level lumbar spondylolisthesis treatment with bilateral Spotlight tubular channels. Methods: A total of 21 patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis whom underwent MIS-TLIF via bilateral Spotlight tubular channels were retrospectively analyzed from October 2014 to November 2015. The 21 patients included 11 males and 10 females ranged from 35 to 82 years (average aged 60.7 years). ⋯ Lastly, at the last follow-up, 12 cases of grade 1 and 7 cases of grade 2 fusion were present as determined by the Siepe evaluation criteria. McNab scale assessment classified 17 patients having excellent clinical outcome, 3 patients in good and 1 patient having a better clinical outcome. Conclusion: MIS-TLIF with bilateral Spotlight tubular channels is a safe and effective approach for single segment lumbar spondylolisthesis.

[Changes in nutritional status of patients with different diseases during hospitalization].
Objective: To evaluate changes in nutritional status of hospitalized patients with different diseases by subjective global assessment (SGA) and nutritional risk screening (NRS-2002). Methods: A prospective and parallel research done by multi-center collaboration from 34 hospitals in China from June to September 2014. Hospitalized patients with the following diseases were investigated: malignant tumor (2 487 cases), benign disease of the digestive system (1 358 cases), benign disease of the nervous system (1 043 cases), benign bone disease (451 cases), benign disease of the respiratory system(395 cases), cardiovascular disease (227 cases), benign thyroid and breast disease (179 cases), and endocrine disease (149 cases). ⋯ Compared with that of admission, records of the patients with other diseases had no statistically difference at discharge, no more than 50% of the patients under risk of nutritional deficiency(except those with digestive benign diseases )received nutritional support, while the proportion of non-parenteral nutrition application was higher. Conclusion: The patients with malignant tumor have higher incidence rate of malnutrition on admission and at discharge. Doctors should pay more attention to the nutritional status(screening and evaluation) of patients before discharge and use appropriate and adequate nutrition support in order to prevent the weight loss and improve the life quality of patients.
